Quoting CupCake

(I have also heard rumors that there are men who actually do laundry!, can anyone confirm a sighting?? ;))

Yes actually I've seen a few ;)

I too have seen one, he did all the laundry & ironing, the dishes & the vacuuming & cleaning....

Its not as great as it sounds.. there were bigger faults to be found elsewhere

Step, that sounds a little bit similar to "Before Sunrise"? Not bad.

Life is fantastic!

hm but it didnt show the two from the film during the films, missing each other....funny that u mention it, i watched this 2 films with him, since we also saw the connection- same cities....and so on.
but life is no movie, and i am not optimistic about this...distance..
and who knows how we are doing in real life? 5 weeks all in all isnt much....
but now that u say it, i am lucky to have made this weird experience...although it isnt easy now...
but i guess it is better to life with emotions, hard or not, than without and easy

Just came by accident on this thread...and felt like sharing my experience on this.
It just happened to me recently. I left to Turkey for 3 weeks about one month ago. On my second day there, I went to a bar in Antalya, there was a godess working in this bar.
I was sitting there the whole night at the bar with a beer in front of me, just watching this girl. I asked her name and we started chatting a bit. Later that night I asked her if she could show me around in Antalya the next day. But she told me she had to work in the bar... so she couldn't.
Anyway the next day I went back to see her, and we started talking again. She told me she would like to show me around the next day.
So then the next day we met in the afternoon. She brougth me to a quiet place at the coast with a very nice view over the bay. We were holding each others hands and started kissing. It was so sweet :)
Unfortunately she had to go back to the bar...

So I went back there that day and almost every other day until the bar closed. Early in the morning we went together to the beach to see the sunrise. It was really so romantic :) We also had some deep conversations about life...and I really fell in love with her.
I even met her father and sister... We went together to Olympos for two days...

The last night before I had to leave Turkey we talked about what was going to happen between us. We both said that we liked each other a lot and that we wanted to try to stay together although we both realised it wouldn't be easy with the distance.

Now I'm back in Belgium, thinking about her all the time. We are still almost every day in contact via mail/sms/chat.
Anyway...I quit my job last week and plan to visit her in the beginning of November (still have to work 2 months :(). She has plans to come to Belgium with Christmas.

It's a very nice romance... I don't know how this is going to end. For the moment I don't want it to end. Time will make things clear I suppose...

How does one deal with the heartache of a broken romance while on holiday?

I have been in this situation. Find other things to focus on - sightseeing, talking to other people etc. Just get your mind off it by throwing all your energies into other pursuits. It worked very well for me.
