Now that they've revised the application fee, i dont think they are incline to reject too many applications, they have a reputation to keep, ya know...ppl might not stay quiet after paying such a high price in the event of a visa rejection, they will start demanding for justification. Also, we all know how the price hike can hinder lotsa ppl from applying for the visa, that means the yearly quota be kept, everyone gets the visa, and everyone's happy...

so dont worry too much bout it...

just a theory though...

the application fee increase about 3 times than before and its half of my monthly salary... hahaha... i really hope after they revised the fee, it would be easier to get the visa. what i scared now is recently because of the terrorism, it would be harder to get the visa... is there anyone apply the visa after 1 april got rejected? i really hope there is no one got rejected... cross my finger to all of the applicants...

3 times huh? I thought it was only 200 pounds, did they increase it again? Btw, anyone knows how much tax we're gonna be paying should we decide to work there?

I realised British Airways and Qantas are cheaper than Emirates, MAS, Singapore Airlines & Etihad airlines.

hi fcbergkamp,
1. yes, i submit a travel plan together with the application. the travel plan is about where i plan to visit during the 2 yrs which included UK cities & also EU countries.

2. no, i did not provide the undertakings letter
3. no, i do not have any relatives & close friend at UK
4. i not yet book the accomodation, still plan for it but i provide an address of a hostel in London for the application.
5. RM20,000
6. i plan to depart on July 07

I think the main reason for me to skip the interview is bcs of my travel plan & my father's (sponser) financial is strong enough to support my stay during the stay in UK.
an impressive travel plan will help on the application.

just my 2 cent

thanks ;)

Hi v26,
did you fill in the application form with sponsor by your father? or you just transfer the money to your bank acc to show that is your money? Also, what is your format of the travel plan for 2 yrs, is it just a rough sketch of every month where you will be going, mind to share with us? I plan to apply july and depart around oct if i can get the visa..

I realised British Airways and Qantas are cheaper than Emirates, MAS, Singapore Airlines & Etihad airlines.

It depends on either it is outbound or inbound flight. I quote one way ticket here for example:

From Singapore to London:
Qantas or BA ~ S$770
SIA ~ S$1300

From London to Singapore:
Qantas or BA ~ 560 Pounds
SIA ~ 350 Pounds

Clearly it is cheaper to fly Qantas from Singapore to London, but not Qantas from London to Singapore.
