Can someone pls let me know if I plan to travel in the end of September, can I apply in the begining of August?

yummy,

you should put in the apps now...if u had gone thru the last 50 posts or so u shud notice some appliactions take longer to approve.
so there's no worriers to submit the apps earlier as the visa can be post dated to the date u wish to go as long s <3mths
good luck & see yaa soon

The following information is about the UK's new points based system, which has not been fully implemented yet. It's possible that information may change over the course of the following months, so please check back periodically.

Tier 5 Visa Overview
In autimn of 2008, the UK will introduce Tier 5 for Temporary Workers as part of its new points based system.

Young people eager to experience life in the United Kingdom and those who need to work for short periods of time in the country will be able for a Tier 5 visa for Temporary Workers. This scheme, part of the UK's new five-tier points based system, allows young people from countries with which the UK has certain agreements and voluntary workers to live and work in the UK for up to two years.

Youth Mobility Workers

This tier will encompass current rules involving youth mobility workers, who are people allowed to work in the UK for a temporary period of time to satisfy primarily non-economic objectives, e.g. Working Holiday Makers, and Temporary Exchange Workers.

If you wish to come to the UK under a Tier 5 visa, you will need to be:

a citizen of a participating company; or
a British overseas citizen; or
a British overseas territory citizen; or
a British national (overseas)

You will also need to be sponsored by your governent, if you are not a British overseas citizen, British overseas territory citizen, or a British national (overseas).

As a worker in the UK under Tier 5, you will not be allowed to switch out of your current tier into another tier, as you would be allowed to do in the highly skilled migrant tier, the skilled migrant tier, and the student tier.

You must be aged between 18 and 30 years of age and have sufficient funds to support yourself when you first arrive in the UK until you find a employment.

You are not eligible to come to the UK under a Tier 5 visa if you have dependant children or have previously come to the UK as a working holidaymaker.

When Tier 5 is implemented, it will replace the following schemes:

au pair scheme
British Universities North America Club scheme
Gap year entrants
Japan: Youth Exchange
research assistants to the Members of Parliament
Working Holiday Makers scheme
For people in the United Kingdom under one of these categories, transitional arrangements will be provided when Tier 5 goes into effect.

Hi guys, the appointment slot for August has just opened! Book now!!! I got mine on the 20th August, 1215pm slot!! Anyone got it earlier?

Is that true that we cannot return to Malaysia during the 2 years of the WHM visa??? I need to come back a year after to attend company trainings and workshops for at least a month... :(

Ingyn, may i know...did you manage to get the slot for august? cause you told us earlier that you have booked a date for august. was the other dates were made available when you first did the booking?

Hi Taigra
I have an enquiry here, regarding the part 7 in the employement form, which the question is:
is there any other information you wish to be considered as part of ypur application?

sum of the forum member suggest to write the cover letter, which mention the reasons you wan take tis visa

but my question is:can i leave it blank there and do not write anything there?
but i ll submit my cover letter as a supporting docments during my submission?

tanx advance
