Hi Taigra
I have an enquiry here, regarding the part 7 in the employement form, which the question is:
is there any other information you wish to be considered as part of ypur application?

sum of the forum member suggest to write the cover letter, which mention the reasons you wan take tis visa

but my question is:can i leave it blank there and do not write anything there?
but i ll submit my cover letter as a supporting docments during my submission?

tanx advance

dear deniseong,

i also 'print' my cover letter and travel plan in that column.

Did it say why specifically he got rejected? Did he also show sufficient funds to support himself whilst in the UK?
Previous posts suggest that you provide a travel itineary, but this may not necessary mean that you will be successful in your application as you need to also include satisfactory documentations and funds to support yourself.

Not sure what you mean by bank statements? there is no ideal kind of bank statements - just as long as it shows 3 months worth (not sure what it is in Singapore) and if you have a large lump sum payment, where did it come from...etc

Hello girlie82, when i book my appointment date on 20th Aug, there are still other dates available. However, at the time of my booking, seemed like 20th Aug is the earliest day for WHM Applicant. If you boking appointment dates under student category, there are dates as early as 1st of Aug. So i assumed that they have different dates allocated for different category of applicants?

Hello deniseong, i am not 100% sure whether the slot for August is all taken up. But i do check for you a while ago and seemed like there is no dates available anymore for August. However, you can try checking everyday, there might be people changing appointment dates. Dont stress up la, i am also preparing the documents for submission now. Some questions on the application forms are a bit tricky eh..

Thanks Soph88!

Ya, we did provide an itinerary the first time around but it didnt work.. What sort of itenirary has worked best in the past?

also, the account he provided had little money for 3 months.. but then another account was provided with a large sum..

If the bank account has been quite low for 3 months and a big sum was put in for this application and explained, would that work? or are they mainly looking or consistency ? do u know? this bank statement is the only one he can use but the record for 3 months hasnt been good. but any transfer of money now is possible..

Here is the itinerary aspect of the rejection letter:

Your economic circumstances where you claim to be a student and have a student pass until 17/07/09 combined with your description of how you intended to spend your time in the UK where you have provided on the most basic plans of the places you wish to visit but more detailed plans of the work you are planning to undertake, do not satisfy me, on the balance of probabilities, that your intention is to take employment incidental to a holiday.

thank u!

Hi.
I'm planing to go over to stay in london by aug 15.
Could somebody share somethings about their experience with me?

This is my first time traveling solo and abroad.

A few questions i have here:
1. Other than the essentials (first aid kit, toiletry, normal summer clothings) what is the most important things to bring along?
2. Do we need to bring along our original education certificates when we apply for office jobs there?

Also, if nobody minds is there anyone going there by aug 15?

dear janiss,

great to hear u r coming to london

1. all 3 that u mentioned are easily available in london(well basic medication esp if u got any prescription do bring along)
2. certificates is useful esp if u r planning to work in the field u studied...do make a few copies if u hav a lot, latest original bank statements for account openning

i assumed u already got accommodation booked as aug is a peak month

summer so far for me is almost like genting temp... well last few days is dry(no rain)but the weatherman says that's all sunny days in london...well i dunno it's true or not cos the forecast always got wrong in the past ha ha..so forget about the bikinis ha ha
a good pair of walking shoes is essential as you will walk and walk and walk
a little umbrella if u r lucky enough to hav mr rain to welcome u personally before u get to know where to get 1

the most important things to bring is an open mind and heart

the itinerary that work best is the one u plan and not to copy from others..if it is not good enough for them maybe you could tell us what is the itinerary he had put up and see if we can find if it could be rectified

if u hav 'extra' fund just mention where it came from...parents...etc and show the money was transfer from which account to convince them
