Thanks Soph88!

Ya, we did provide an itinerary the first time around but it didn't work.. What sort of itinerary has worked best in the past?

also, the account he provided had little money for 3 months.. but then another account was provided with a large sum..

If the bank account has been quite low for 3 months and a big sum was put in for this application and explained, would that work? or are they mainly looking or consistency ? do u know? this bank statement is the only one he can use but the record for 3 months hasn't been good. but any transfer of money now is possible..

Here is the itinerary aspect of the rejection letter:

Your economic circumstances where you claim to be a student and have a student pass until 17/07/09 combined with your description of how you intended to spend your time in the UK where you have provided on the most basic plans of the places you wish to visit but more detailed plans of the work you are planning to undertake, do not satisfy me, on the balance of probabilities,
that your intention is to take employment incidental to a holiday.

thank u!

the itinerary that work best is the one u plan and not to copy from others..if it is not good enough for them maybe you could tell us what is the itinerary he had put up and see if we can find if it could be rectified

if u hav 'extra' fund just mention where it came from...parents...etc and show the money was transfer from which account to convince them

taigra

Thanks!

so let me reconfirm, if an account has an average of like 3000 SGD and then 20,000 is put in before the application, they wudn't reject it as long as theres a good explanation? This bank statement is our biggest problem!

This is the itinerary that was submitted. When i see it now, it is too vague.. And he wants to go there only for a year now so we'd only make a one yr itinerary. Well here it is:

2008:

August - October :
Spend a couple of months exploring and getting used to the London lifestyle.

Whilst in London, I will definitely be doing the following activities:
5th September : Hay’s Galleria Oyster and Seafood Fair

I have never been to a theatre before and I heard that London is the best place to
catch them. Therefore, I will be taking regular trips to the theaters in West end,
especially the worldly known Lion King Musical.

Camden Town : to see a new culture of people.

Visit ‘Maze Grill’, owned by Gordon Ramsay because I respect him and his
talent tremendously.

October - November:
Do part time jobs in a restaurant to get a feel of how it is like to work in London.

December:
Travel to Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool with friends. But be back in London for
New Years.

31 December : Fireworks on New years at the London Eye, South Bank.

2009:
January - March:
I would find a temporary job which will educate me on the on-goings of a kitchen in
London. Working and learning about different kitchens and restaurants in London
has always been my dream that I do hope to fulfill during this trip.
April - May:
Go to Isle of Wight and possibly Channel Islands - It should be warm then
June - August:
Take a break and go back to Singapore to visit my family.
September - December:
Work temporary jobs. - Find a new cuisine to explore
Take a weekend off in November to go to Brighton.

2010:
January - Feb :
Travel to Lake District
March - May: Work
June: Return to Singapore

Hey,
I think that is enough.. the website says u need to have enough for the airfare there and back and 2 months worth of accommodation and living!
i live in london now and for living I pay about 1,100 SGD a month (just to give u a rough idea).

I think the rejection letter gave clear reason. I would suggest not to put job hunting as part of ur travel plan. your percentage of working and travelling should sync with ur travel plan. Your travel plan gave me an impression that it was not thoroughly done without effort (apologize if its vice versa).
Last but not least, no matter how or what money you have, proof that its yours(or sponsors). If you cant get bank statement, use bankbook and get it certified. If there's a will, there's a way. Cheers.

Hi Taigra
I have an enquiry here, regarding the part 7 in the employement form, which the question is:
is there any other information you wish to be considered as part of ypur application?

sum of the forum member suggest to write the cover letter, which mention the reasons you wan take tis visa

but my question is:can i leave it blank there and do not write anything there?
but i ll submit my cover letter as a supporting docments during my submission?

tanx advance

employment form or WHM application form??

If you were to submit separate cover letter, and if it is appropriate to be put in Part 7, then just say "Please refer to cover letter/appendix A". It's your choice.
If I were the officer, I would assume the form is incomplete if left blank.

dear janiss,

great to hear u r coming to london

1. all 3 that u mentioned are easily available in london(well basic medication esp if u got any prescription do bring along)
2. certificates is useful esp if u r planning to work in the field u studied...do make a few copies if u hav a lot, latest original bank statements for account openning

i assumed u already got accommodation booked as aug is a peak month

summer so far for me is almost like genting temp... well last few days is dry(no rain)but the weatherman says that's all sunny days in london...well i dunno it's true or not cos the forecast always got wrong in the past ha ha..so forget about the bikinis ha ha
a good pair of walking shoes is essential as you will walk and walk and walk
a little umbrella if u r lucky enough to hav mr rain to welcome u personally before u get to know where to get 1

the most important things to bring is an open mind and heart

taigra

Thank you taigra.
i have not booked accommodation yet because i will be staying with other ppl.

Dear Sampath,

The officer told me the same as you. But until today i haven't receive my visa. Anyway, I think the answer is positif.

I call VFS today to check on my passport status as i request to have it back by today. Anyway, the document was not back yet and she told me whatever decision make in the interview still depending KL BHC approval.

Now, I quite embrasse without my passport to travel out from Singapore tonight. Spoiling my mood. So guys, do allow more time for them to process your visa.

Em... hi all... I'm new to join here because my friend and i wanna apply to work at UK, but some of the question about how to fill in the form that bored me.... please some one give me some instruction and helping for those question :

1) for the sponsor part, if i don't have enough money in my own bank, and my family actually didn't allow me to go there, so they wouldn't sponsor me. So can i ask for my relationship for help? Is that i should write a letter to prove anything and how should i write it?

2) If i got a friend to work at UK, so if i ask for some document like water bill or electrical bill to prove that i got a friend that may can help to find a work or whatever, it help or not?

3) My friend actually work few years at UK last time. Actually he didn't have any work permit or visa to work there. Then he coming back from UK and don't have blacklist by the UK government, so he renew his passport after all. Then now he go there again by apply WHM visa, is that any letter to write or any problem or not?

4) for the part 6.3, it ask for the sponsor detail, so if i don't really have a sponsor? Or maybe my friend can ask for his relationship giving some information. But that my friend, can i use the my friend's relationship as my sponsor also?

5) i saw that i should make a appointment first before i go to interview, but the available date is seem to be end soon, and the TIER 5 is begin on September, so can i still make a appointment after September?

Ok, that my question in this period... and thank you for those helping person... Thank you so much.
