hi, glad everyone is so interested in WHM visa..i have got mine too!!! thank GOD my application went so smooth..it just took me 2 days to get the Visa, and no interview is needed!...yuhuu! you may get the latest form from the VFS which i did so and go though it on the spot and shall you need any clarification, just ask the officer there, although they look very serious but they are quite friendly.. then only fill in in details and provide all your documents as required and submit. give as much info as possible especially your financial documents..cos all they want is you can support yourself in UK, the rest is your property or any asset like car or house etc (if you have)..my bf is also applying it too..wish him luck and everybody else...cheers!!

Hi, congratulation to you. Can you give some more information to us such what document you have summit, how do you show evidence of accomodation, any tenancy agreement?. Thanz

Hi all,

I also in process of applying. just took the form.

But i have question here.

1) what is "sponsor's income"

2) Should i provide my cousin's house tenancy agreement to them to prove that they are living there?

Really afraid if my application will be rejected bcoz of small matters.

Hope u guys can help with all infos.

Cheers
maY

May, If you have your own income, you do not need to provide "sponsor's income", which most of the time, the bank statement of your parents or somebody else that you borrow the money from.

Whilst for the address issue, i would advise you to get a letter form your cousin by snail mail (I don't think they'll accept email ...) as a prove. This is what i heard from a friend that have been to UK as WHM too.

For my case, i just booked a night's accommodation in London, that's all that i provided to them. It's luck huh to got my visa approved without went through any interview

WITH EFFECT FROM MONDAY 12TH FEBRUARY 2007

All applicants are required to submit a separate document which clearly itemises what documents have been included in support of their application. This is required for each application. In addition, applicants are also required to provide one photocopy of all documents provided.

For example the itemised list might include:

Marriage certificate (state whether original or copy)
Bank statements (from date; to date) (name of bank) (whether account of applicant/sponsor)
Tenancy agreement
Invitation letter (from)
University Offer letter (state College or University)
Fixed Deposits (state original or Copy and number of pieces) totalling amount (RM) Etc
The inclusion of this document is required in order to assist the British High Commission in providing a fast and efficient service to visa applicants.

Anyone can give a sample of invitation letter fr friend in UK? what should they state in the letter?

Snail mail simply refers to traditional letter :)

Application process in Singapore is very smooth. It only tooks me 2 days to get my passport back with WHM visa sticked on it (of course, with all relavent documents well prepared during submission).

Application fees are: S$264 visa + S$15 service + S$25 bank draft. Total equals to S$304.

However, if you run through a hot thread "UK working holiday makers" in this forum, you'll notice that average time taken for a Malaysian to get their visa approved in KL is about 1 month, and that was 2 years ago.

Wow! I cant believe how difficult it is applying for one WHM UK visa now. I had mine about 5 years ago, paid about RM200(?), went to the British High Comm thinking of just submitting the form and paying the fees without even a little bit of research, not knowing I was gonna be interviewed on the spot!

Phew! Glad I did it 5 years ago!! To those who hadn't dont let the procedure deter you now cos u dont know what u're missing. To all those who has already gotten theirs..enjoy cos europe is at your fingertips!! :)

Cheers (and as how the Brits toast to a drink..chin chin!!)
