hi all there...

So happy found this website... Never thought there're so many people trying on WHP.. I'm planning to go UK too for the\is WHP on Mar '09 will it be too early for the application?? I tried call the VFS but they sounds so fierce maybe I called at the wrong timing.. Hopes someone can helps me here... Need more info before I make my application..
I've filled the forms but I'm wondering y there's some people need to have itinerary? I've put 60% travel , 40% working.. Will that be ok? I read through some its like so scary on the rejection.. Another question: how to make application?? I'm here worried on no job to support myself there.. Will there be difficult to get a job?
I planned to stop in London as that's the place I heard most time in UK.. Others, really no ideas..
But now I need to know how to make application..
- Is interview a MUST?
- What questions will be asked usually?
- What's the minimum fund MUST have for the application?
- We need to make payment on the application, if rejected will the RM1k++ be refunded?
- I'm 28 this year, will I be less chance??

Please help help...

Dear Yen81,

As Hien would say, please read thru the whole forum as most of the questions that u have asked has previously been answered.
So, it would do everyone a favour if u could first help urself before asking for help!

Itinerary is a must. Please well prepare and memorized it.

I've put 60% travel , 40% working.. Will that be ok?
Should be no problem coz when I apply also put like that.

how to make application??
This I m not sure as I m old batch just go to VFS and apply.New batch I think need to make appointment online.I m not sure.

Will there be difficult to get a job?
Some place is bit difficult, btw don't come on student holiday coz u may not get a job here.

- Is interview a MUST?
NO...if u submit all the documents that required they maybe will approved without interview (I appeal and without interview they approved)

- What questions will be asked usually?
I m not sure as I don't go through interview.

- What's the minimum fund MUST have for the application?
I apply on Feb 08 and that time I just have RM15,000. Now i m not sure maybe RM20,000

- We need to make payment on the application, if rejected will the RM1k++ be refunded?
Is not refundable. So if rejected and they give u chance to appeal, then u should become NIKE (just do it). wont cost u anything other than time.

- I'm 28 this year, will I be less chance??
Equal opportunities as long as u below 30 if not mistaken.

Maybe the answer is wrong, I just give u my experience when I applied.
Maybe others is different, just a reference for u.

Hope god will always with u. GOOD luck

Dear Yen81
You can take people's experience as reference only, we don't send spy at British High Comm, how on earth are we going to know all the EXACT answers to your questions?? If you really went through at least the last 10 pages, you will find your answers there. However, Esternity has been very kind. I hope she answered your questions.

Now, now, please don't put words in my mouth. I suggested to read the previous posts, but I didn't say the whole forum. It would take literally ages to read over 30 000 posts!

Okay, I know you meant thread, not forum. :) And I didn't say read the whole thread either. Anyway, as somebody has even pointed it out before I did, this thread is full of information and it would be for the benefit of everyone that new members have some basic idea about this WHM.

Quoting Hien @ page 105

People come here, register as a member, and start asking questions. And those who know answer them. Good. It has been a year and a half since this thread started. There are a few regulars who helped out as much as they could on the questions asked here. And they're doing it on their own time. Thanks for helping out (you know who you are). I don't usually post many replies here like I did this couple of weeks because there will be someone out there who'd reply before I did. However, being a forum janitor, I do monitor closely the ongoings of this and other threads.

To those who are new here, read the instructions at VFS and on the forms. After that, do spend some time to read the previous posts of this thread. This thread is over a hundred pages long - the longest non-off-topic thread on this site. Logically thinking, any questions one could possibly have should have been answered by now, don't you think? So before you hit the reply button, help yourself first by reading the previous posts. Most often than not, you will find answers to you question in the latest 10 pages or so. And for those of you impatient ones, you don't have to wait for others to reply. However, if you still have questions after that, then fire away.

About the upcoming Tier 5 that will replace the WHM and a few other youth programmes this November, there are still things about it which have not been announced. If you want to know, go read it yourself. The programme has not started and the only official information available is from the website, which means your guess is as good as any others. And until they start the Tier 5, let's stick to WHM here for the time being. There is no point asking questions which nobody knows of for sure, is there?

I have no idea when WHM has changed to WHP. Are u talking about WHM? To get the latest info, the best is to find it in VFS website. All your questions I strongly believe appear in either VFS website or this thread.

I got some for u

Quoting Yen81

I'm planning to go UK too for the\is WHP on Mar '09 will it be too early for the application??

yes too early. travel date should be within 3 months of your application. call VFS to confirm please.

Quoting Yen81

y there's some people need to have itinerary?

only to support your application. u can choose not to.

Quoting Yen81

I've put 60% travel , 40% working.. Will that be ok?

sure, no right answer. u plan how u want to spend 2 years in UK. if u plan to work 40%, is that enough to cover ur 60% of travel. If not enough, what is the minimum fund u MUST bring to cover ur 60% of travel OR you plan to put 50% working? So please do your own calculation.

Quoting Yen81

Another question: how to make application??

First question in FAQ of VFS website

Quoting Yen81

Will there be difficult to get a job?

some say yes, some say no.. nobody can give you the exact answer. greatly depends on your potential, UK's job demand, location, bla bla bla..waitering job is easy to get, professional job is hard, but still if u got the skill, its easy.
Is that gonna stop u from applying. How can we tell whether u will easily get a job. Job opportunity is there for sure.

Quoting Yen81

- Is interview a MUST?

NO. FAQ VFS website please. Question 13th

Quoting Yen81

- What questions will be asked usually?

wow.. i saw couple of posts about this..but u have not come to this stage yet, why worry. its better to work on ur application to succeed without interview.

Quoting Yen81

- What's the minimum fund MUST have for the application?

u have to make ur own calculation. no right answer. how u want to spend? No specific answer in VFS as well. They expect u to do some homework. u said 60% travel, so 40% working plus the minimum fund. make sense? want to save money for future, more calculation then.

Quoting Yen81

- We need to make payment on the application, if rejected will the RM1k++ be refunded?

NO. check visafees at VFS website.
scroll down and see note #7

Quoting Yen81

- I'm 28 this year, will I be less chance??

why u think so?

Yes, it is three months from the date you submit your application. You have to specify this on the application form, and it will be the start date of your visa if your application is approved.

I have not seen anyone applying way too early (why the hurry anyway?) so I don't know the actual response you'll get if you do that. Three possibilities scenario I could think of: 1) application not accepted by VFS; 2) application rejected by the high commission; 3) application is accepted, but the visa start date, if approved, will be three months from the date of application, not the much later travel date. My guess is the first scenario, as VFS will check the application form and advise applicants if they noticed something obviously wrong or do not conform to the policy or rules of the visa application.

Yen81, you can find instructions and guides on the VFS-UK-MY website. It is the official site for UK visas application in Malaysia, so what you read there is the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Yes, the first scenario will take place. VFS will allow applicants to change the date on the spot. Or applicants can choose to submit later.
