Hi there... I've questions...

Its just an example not really been to UK 2 months ok... Just an example only! Not exactly 2 months maybe 1 yr / 6 months but my main point is once I get the WHM visa, as I know we must go within 3 mths therefore I'll leave within 3 months but later I want to go other places also can I do tat?? Maybe back M'sia for some celebration / emergency cases...

Thanks ;)

hey

For your information, the vfs officer told me that it is not necessary for us to leave in 3 months time, you can leave at anytime as you like, even a month before the expiry date. This is the information I go through with a vfs guy officer at the time i submit my form.

Really denise... Is tat means I can make application now but leave next yr rght but I'll lost some time there... So from wat u means, can we in & out of UK at any time during our WHM? Please advice.. Thanks for your info.. ;)

The 3-month limit is for the date you want your visa to start. It must not be later than 3 months from the day of submission. It doesn't matter when you enter the country within the 2-year validity, although it may raise question at the border control if you delay for too long for your first entry. And the WHM visa is a multiple entry type.

hien,

so i can in & out of UK within the 2 yrs... even I make application now then travel next year wouldn't be any problems rght?? I want to apply under this WHM instead of the new Tier-5 later.. Coz I go through the Tier-5 condition, if I'm not misunderstand, we cannot transfer our permit & not as freedom as WHM we can't leave UK anytime we like... If I'm not misunderstand!

it seems like the cari chinese forum is down. these are some of the few samples. i can't post up the travel plan because the travel plan is in table format. and i copy and paste here. it become disorientated.

Q : Are you going to have theinterview in English or do you need a translator?
A : Is ok, thanks. I’ll answer myself.
Q : Who fill up your application form?
A : I fill up my own.
Q : What have you bring to show me? (documents)
Q: Are you staying with your parents?
A : Yes, currently I amstaying with my parents and 2 brothers.
Q : What are your parents doing? (their job)
A : My father isfishmonger whereas my mother is housewife cum babysitter for 2 children of my neighbor.

[snip]

Hmm... I wonder why the person who posted the questions included his/her own answers as well. Everybody's situation is different.

hien,
that person just want to gif us more details picture of question raise & answer he'she given.. I feel he/she's great... At least we have the picture of it... Since everybosy's situation is different then ma answer different la... not asking u all to follow her / his answer ma...

katopunk,
Thanks for the details given.. bt missed the itinerary!

5. Others

- UK Travel plan
- First 3 months Financial Plan
- Support Letter (not sponsor letter)
- Invitation Letter from UK friend
- Education Cert : UM, STPM, SPM
- Membership card : FMUTM, FPAM, PMB
- Birth Cert (Malay & English version)
- Life Insurance Statement 2007
- Personal Accident Renewal 2007

For all of you out there, birth certificate is not necessary! Your passport is already a proof that you're a citizen.

Education certificates are not essential either. You're not applying for a student visa or even a job. So far, people I know who got the WHM visa did not provide them in their application.

And I don't know how the membership cards are going to help convince them to grant you the visa.

This is a reply for a post from another thread.

Well, i'm prepared but just a bit tense over the initerary & statements of accounts.

I find the initerary but is a bit waste of time to explain about my stay period for 2 years? Is this important?

First of all, the WHM application never requires you to submit a travel plan because it's not a requirement. However, you must understand that the WHM visa approval is not that straightforward. The officer who evaluates your application has guidelines, and on top of the basic requirements (which you must meet), your case must also convince them that you are a genuine holidaymaker. So, a travel plan helps a bit in this case. See the previous posts for guides on how to make one.

Anyway, since it's not a requirement, you don't have to submit one if you think it's a waste of time.

On my statements of accounts, i have RM 35k in my bank ending July till now, been rolling here and there + support form sponsor. Would that be enough?

I don't know why you're asking this again as I've already answered you this question in my reply to your PM. For the benefit of others wondering, the minimum amount you must have is the equivalent of £2000 in the local currency, which in this case, the Ringgit. But like I've always said, don't go with minimum--the more the better! If I were to apply again, I would make sure I have at least MYR25000 in my own account, excluding sponsors. Why that figure? Well, about 5000 will go to plane ticket and other purchases for the trip there. That leaves you at least £3000 for your stay there, which is a very safe figure for your application.

Do I need a letter from the bank stating that i have sufficient amount to support my stay n the UK?

Uhh... tell me, how will the bank know if the amount you have will be "sufficient" to support your stay?

Yes, I know that, but why? That's what I am wondering about.

I feel he/she's great...

I agree, and I didn't say he/she's not great.

At least we have the picture of it...

Heh, the picture you have from the answers is the background of him/her and his/her family.

Since everybosy's situation is different then ma answer different la... not asking u all to follow her / his answer ma...

Which is exactly my point when I said I wonder why he/she gave us the answers as well. It's not like we can use it!

Anyway, for those who are really interested in knowing what other questions would be asked, search around this thread. Somebody had posted a list of questions that were asked during the interview. I remember it was posted before I submitted my application. So look for posts which are older than September 2007.

It's here.

Like I've always said, virtually all the answers you need are here in this thread. You just need to find it.

First of all, this is a discussion forum where everyone is free to participate in a topic to give opinions, feedback and comments (just like you've commented on my comment).

As long as you don't break the forum rules.

I don't understand why you keep saying nobody wanted to "layan" you. Would you care to look back at your posts and see which one was not replied? As a matter of fact, some of your questions have multiple replies. If this is what one gets in return for replying to your questions, then esthernity, travelite8, deniseong and myself have just wasted our time doing so. Anyway, we should not worry about wasting our time now since you've already inactivated your own account and won't be posting anymore questions.

halo, i need some advice here. My real intention is to go travel around europe. not really that much interest in UK itself alone. I apply for the visa so that i can have a permit to work in case i have not enough money. Do u guys think it makes it more difficult to get the visa if i let them know this intention? But how should i tell? if i lie, first of all, it not a gud thing, second, they may feel it. Pls advice.

Hey there guys,

I've applied for WHM last month... and they called me for interview on the 7th October! sad... it took so long for that too. especially that i lived in east Malaysia... Had cost me 3k for the whole visa process already. sigh... now i'm so nervous about the interview that i'm starting to pull my hair d... hope to find some answers through this thread... argh...

1. i stated that i will live wit my aunt (which was married into UK) but i just gave them a copy of her address over there... do i need to bring anything more? can i have a list of them?

2. what would the interview be about? what questions would be asked? What to say and what not to say? i'm so nervous neh... i hope i hav a list of the questions ...T.T

3. is there other documents that i need to bring along with me? i know IC is essential... any other things?

4. I'm actually a form6 student... what jobs can i apply if i made it to UK? that pays quite good and have accomodation also? is there any websites i can refer to?

Hope i have my reply ASAP. HELP!!!
