Hi there,

Today I submitted my WHM visa application on time.

I’m only using 2 days to do all the document preparation.

I put all my travel itinerary into a Power Point Presentation Slide – I show then the total lead time that I will spend in each UK’s regions & I do draw out my travel route using the UK’s map too.
(Hehe, this is what I learn during my Honors Degree study- major in Logistics & Supply Chain).

At the "Additional Information" column of the application form, I attach my computer type out of "Summary of my whole application such as support letter of my parent to state that I will returning home when my visa end, invitation letter from UK's friend, Summary of my travel itinerary: Top Britain's attractions that I'd like to visit & Lastly the purpose of applying the visa.:)

The Officer who receive my application didn't ask me any questions but I'm the one who keep on "promoting" my hard work by showing him this la, that la...!!! (FYI, I didn't sleep for last night because Im busy to draw and plot the UK's map!) he just collect all my copy (verified) documents and all the original documents and just say if no interview having, you will get your visa result within 10 days and he told can't wait to go home to celebrate his Raya.

Then after that, I was called to do my Biometrics (finger print). It happens that I actualy need to use my another hand to press my last finger while I do the scanning (because my last finger is much shorter than the 4 fingers and it is "petite" compare to the 4 fingers...)

I hope I will get the visa without any interview.

The Biometrics Officer told me to wait for 10 days for the result; if call for interview then it will take up to 30 days.

Which means I will have another 10 days of nightmare.

everyone who read this, please pray for me ya...

yes. just submit the 2 sets. one original and another one photocopy. they'll look at your original ones and for the photocopy, they'll keep it for reference.

Anyway, I'll arrive on the 25th of November. I'm not sure where I'll be staying yet. Currently, I'm just requesting for couchs for surf. For like some period few weeks until I found a permanent place to stay. Hahaha... So lodging is basically free for the few weeks, I hope so. In return, I'll do some domestic work for the host.

Also, I may apply for a job as a mail sorter at royal mail. They need alot of people for Christmas period.

And yes, I'm sure that you guys will like the couch surfing ideas. Please visit www.couchsurfing.com

For a few weeks? CS hosts usually will host you for a few days only. So you'll have to hop to other hosts if you want to stay longer than just a few days. Anything longer is basically invading into their personal life since they don't know anything about you at all. And how much domestic work can you actually do? CS is about hosting others travelling in the area. You're not really travelling at all. And unless you've got very good testimonials from other hosts and have previously hosted others, CS hosts won't be happy if they find out all you want is freeloading.

Get real. Doing CS when you first arrived is fine. But after that, find yourself a proper place. Most youth hostels offer long-term discounts. Once you found one you like, ask them if there's any discount if you book the bed for a week. Before I found a place to rent in London, I stayed in a 6-bed dorm for a few months, paying £80/week compared to the usual price of over £120/week. Many working holidaymakers from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa do the same until they find a permanent place to live. Some still stayed at the same hostel even after they've got a job. The longest one I've met was 5 months.

By the way, December is holiday season, so it can be hard to find a host. Check out the Budget Accommodation section instead and book yourself a bed for the first few nights.
