Hello!

I am in the midst of apply WHV. A few question.

1) I don't know anyone in UK and I can't provide a UK address. Will this hamper my application process?
2) Where is a good place I should start. I know London is a good place.. but I feel that its kinda of expensive. I was wondering if there's any alternative.
3) I am intending to leave by Mar/Apr in 2009. Anyone going then?

Thanks alot!
Would appreciate any help.

Hi,
how you guys get the certified translation of the document in malays?
i do not want to find the translator, because their charges is really expensive, it is about rm 100- 150 per copy
some people ask me to find commision of Oath or Notary Public, do you guys have any recommend or contact?

where to certified all the documents such as:
photocopied birth cert, SSM's doc ( company registered docs ), Borang B ??

thanks in advanced.

Hi, as for translation, you can do it at the court. They charge about RM26 per page. As for certify go to commision of Oath. It is about RM5 per page. For me, i didn't do any translation or photocopy. I just submit everything in original. Save time save strength.

smilyn and katopunk,

thanks for your reply,

the commision of oath, is that mean Law firm? so i can just go any of the law firm and get their certified, thats all?
certain documents i have no original copy, so i have to submit malay version, and thats why i need to certified.

thanks again

I am not very sure if commission of oath = law firm. In my place here commission of oath is not a law firm. It is just a small office that do oath and certify document only. Anyway, you can go to the law firm to ask. No harm asking and trying right. That way you will learn and know for future use.

Hi smilyn

How's your application status now?

Hi Q,

I just get all my certified true copy from the respective body. For example, photocopy of PublicBank account book front and last page, I went to PublicBank (any branch will do), show them the original account book and show them the appointment letter of VFS that I print out from the internet (to tell them the purpose of certified a true copy), they will ask the authorised personnel to do it ofr you. (It is fast around 5 mins). ;)

I went to EVERY body to do the certified of true copy such as HSBC Bank (credit card statement), MayBank (Account Book & Insurance), RHB Bank (Hire Purchase Agreement), Public Bank (Account Book & Property Agreement), KDU College (All my education cert., from secondary till current, even thought my Dean say some of the cert. it is not from their school, but I told her "All education document form the previous school you have to verified for me because KDU is my last school that I attend & you should believe all my previous cert. is genuine, otherwise why do you accept me into your school early on?), EPF (EPF statemenet, birth cert.,EA Form, etc).

However, a few body that I'm run out of time to visit, so I just ask the EPF authorised personnel to help me certified (EPF in Jalan Gasing is my last stop, that time around 5 p.m., so no choice, I ask him to help me certified all my left over photocopy & he is helpful but he say "Ini bukan EPF statement, why you ask me to certified?" - (mouth is saying but his hand is doing the cope and sign ) Then I left I just say "Thank you ya "ABANG". - (Abang is very important & powerful word to address some elderly Malay- it show respect)

Ohyah, the most importnat thing, most certified true copy they put a date, so REMEMBER must put a date. Like bankbody, they have a "cope" of the date, the rest of the body like KDU, EPF, I ask the officer to write the date at the signature (They don't have the "cope" of the date).

But for translation, I didn't do at all (I think my birth cert is in English because I redo, I lost it 2 years ago, so my birth cert. is printed on 2006 but my age is 24. The new birt cert. is in A4 size & it shows the date & time of your birthday too!). However, I submit all my original documents and the certified true copy together to VFS.

I remember last time when my elder sister did told me before that the body that can certified true copy is "Doctor, Lawyer, Goverment body, University". But the safest way, you should go and visit each body of the document that you want to certified a true copy. So I hope it help...

Hi Q,

The reason behind I force my Dean to verified for me is because my Kindergarden till Form 5, I study in Sabah, then STPM in Melaka. So how to go Sabah & Melaka, when I only have 2 days to prepare the documents? hehe....
