@ Chweetgurl
i live in chennai, so i could apply only in chennai....my online status just says "YOUR VISA APPLICATION HAS BEEN FORWARDED TO THE BRITISH HIGH COMMISSION"...

and no, i never got any call from them... and I don't think in India u can call BC and ask abt it... VFS said me that we need to wait for call...

VFS also said that in India, interview is compulsory for all work visas.... only for student and visitor visa they might give visa without interview... i thght i might leave by xmas... but looking at things, i guess i need to postpone my plans!

funny thing is, it was my best friend in UK who gave me the idea to apply for this visa... she told me this last year, and I took all this time to take a decision... and now she herself returned back to India, saying that UK is too expensive to live!

Anyways, just have to wait and see, I guess... no other choice, LOL

I got a call today from VFS.I though i have a good new about my visa application. Apparently they ask me to come back again to vfs centre to redo the biometric data and submit again the application form attached with a passport size pic.Really troublesome and futhermore taking longer processing time.

"Current Status"

"Please be aware that some visa applications made earlier this month may be subject to a delay in processing due to a system problem experienced on 9 October. For further information please go to http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk."

I saw the msg about system problem...I submitted my visa on 24 Sept..also no news

Think my visa is also one of those that has been affected by the delay.

dun give up due to the economy crisis rite nw. yes, face the reality, it might be hard to get a job in UK rite nw. but any way i still believe there is a way to survive as long as ur will power is strong. My advice: don't be choosy looking for job. take whatever available to you...prepare to put down ur pride and ego as u are no more in the managerial or executive level...

all the best to all the applicants and those who are on the way to UK, welcome...

regards,
simon
