Hi there

I have got my passport today!!!Yes, there is a sticker inside it!!!I got approval for my visa!!Hurray.......

For those who are going to attend interview,do not worry too much of it.... questions been ask by the counselor is exactly same as those been posted on the forum...I just attend my interview yesterday, being scared by the counselor,as not more than 10 minutes of interview, she ask me to get out for a while,as she would like to take some time to think about it.At that moment, my mind is blank because i saw the couselor lady have typed lot thing to the applicant just before of me,which mean "REJECT" lo!!!Then after around 3 minutes of waiting, she ask me to walk in again, and straight away told me that she had approved my visa!!!!and ask me whether have to continue with the interview section just now?.OOOPSSS,i really been scared by her!!!

So good luck to everybody....and don give up o ...For your information,it takes me 2 months to book for an available appointment slot, and waiting 2 months for the interview and result! It really is a night mare to me!!!So dont give up !!!!Good Luck!!!

thanks Rads..Certainly worth it!!..now i need to start working on my plans.. ;)
btw rads when does ur visa issue date commence?? did u look at any gud airfares?

Hi! I booked my on-way ticket long time back... in September. I booked it for Dec 29 and submitted it whn i applied for visa. (i thought - even if i don't get visa, i can always cancel ticket, penalty was a small amount)

bcos of my air ticket, my visa is also starting on dec 29.

i chose the date dec 29, bcos my MA final year exams are to be held during Dec 3rd week.

Since I booked ticket early, I could get good rates for MAS-LON in Gulf Air. It cost me Rs. 18,750, incl. all taxes.

when do you want to leave? if it is this month or next month, prices will be very expensive (festival season)

You can check www.yatra.com for price comparision. click on international.

If you are leaving from Mumbai, you get good rates in KINGFISHER AIRLINES (previously air deccan)

Hi Rads

I was looking for a round trip..planing to return to India take a break in 10 months..not been away for so long frm my family...
So far the cheapest i have found is Kingfisher like u mentioned frm Bangalore itself ..i plan to leave around last week of nov..working on my shopping list ;)
