urgent here... i'v got rejected from my interview n are appealling for it now. coz of some accident it ends up tat 2day is my last day of appeal (dateline).

That's some accident to have been delayed for almost 30 days?!

i'v tried to fax to the number they provided to uk for the whole night but i cant seem to b sure if it was the right number. the number was +44 (0)15 09 221 699

The question is, is fax acceptable? If it is, is there any number which you can call to confirm that they've received it?

i dialled the number with my fax, but got no response from it. got some questions here also...
1) the my fren said that i should dial 00 in the place of +. is tat true?

Yes, your friend is correct if you're dialling from Malaysia and most other countries where the international access code is 00.

2) should i dial the (0) along with all the numbers?

Drop/ignore the (0). That's only for local dial (which by then you'll have to ignore the +44). It's either the +44 (dialling from outside the UK) or the 0 (from within the UK).

airasia has started the route to london and the fares is so cheap @.@
how i wish i can get response this few days, ai.... i submitted last fri, in singapore...

Hi.. this is my first time sharing about my experience here..

i think you will get the reply from vfs soon..probably by next friday..and the week after, there will be an interview for you.
If you pass the interview, you will get your visa back the following week after the interview.

This was what happening to me and the whole process took about less than 1 month if you applied in singapore.
I just passed my interview today and i will get my visa back by next week.

Thanks to this forum. It does help me a lot in the necessary documents preparation.

All the best to you gals/guys. :)

Ha, this was my first intention also - approved without going thru the interview..
unfortunately, i was there for the interview ...
You may need to remember fews places (3-4) that you are very keen to go, that should be enough.
Just relax ...the officer is quite nice. No worry :)

some info for successful applicants

1. try not to stay in a hostel as soon as u go. try to find a room. because if u get a room, u will be given a tenancy agreement. u need to show this agreement as address proof when u apply for your National Isurance Number interview. And only after u get this NI number, you can open a bank account (u need to have a bank account to get paid if u get a job - UK employers pay you by cheque or bank transfer only)

2. I am looking at rooms, and almost all of them are asking for a min. of 65 pounds a week and deposit is either 4 weeks or 6 weeks' rent. So right in the beginning, you might have to shell out around 600 pounds for accomodation alone. Be prepared for this expense.

3. Winter hit very early this year (it started snowing in October), so UK is in for a long winter. Please bring your best winter gear. Don't pinch pennies in winter clothing, you will suffer for it.

Keeping all this mind, pls take at least 1000 pounds with you when you leave your country

i got My Ni without getting a permanent address. I am working in a chinese restaurant and the emplyer is willing to apply for me the NI....

and I open the passport account in HSBC without a permament address but need to pay a small sum of money...

it depends on hw you work out ur work and there is no fix rules...

also it is not easy to find a tenant and there are having a lot of rules and regulation

all the best to all the success applicant
