Dear friends,

I am leaving to London tomm night!

I'm going by Gulf Air (cheapest air fare at 225 pounds) and will be in UK till the end of 2009.

I hear that the weather is terrible :( but what to do, i am going to face it with several sweaters, gloves and big fat smile, ha ha.

WHMers in UK, do give me a holler some time, may be we can all meet some time for a cuppa :)

Au revoir!

People living in UK,

What kind of shoes/boots shd I buy before coming to UK? Snow ones or rainy ones... any advice?

Here it is costing from 25 pounds and above...are they cheap there? Can anyone tell me the price range?

Thanks!

That's right. It rarely snow in London (it's going below 0 °C for the next few days and it's not even going to snow). As for the rain... what they call rain in London is just drizzling by tropical country standard. So, any comfortable shoes is fine except slippers/flip-flops unless you want to have your feet frozen.

Hi All,

I have a question here:

I just request back my passport due to travel purpose and plan to return on 5th Jan.

I submitted my application on 30th Sep 2008, so far no call and still under process.

But I realise there is one small cope on my 2nd last page on my passport, page 31.

The deatils are:

KUL/100913/08 (hand writing)

  • UK (cope) 071008 (hand writing)

KUALA LUMPUR (cope)*

  • = inside a square box

Anyone got this? What thats it mean? I ask few people some say yes some say no....

Hi, I have a few questions that cant get answer so far regarding HolidayMaker programme:

1. How soon you need to arrive in UK after the visa is issued
2. Does one need to fly in UK or overland is allowed?

I plan to apply in March, anyone applied lately? pls share the joy here!

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

tham,

there is no more UK HolidayMaker programme. They stop it on the 27 Nov 2008.
however, you can checkout the new zealand WHM. they give you 1 year visa.

It's only 6 months for Malaysians.
