There are currently no surveillance measures in operation at any UK airports. Since you're not coming from an infected area, there shouldn't be a problem.

There is no screening for S/F at any UK airport, even if you're coming in from an infected area in Mexico. However, Manchester Airport is the only one in the UK to ask arrivals from Mexico and the Southern USA if they have had any contact with people with it. You've no worries.

Hi to all Malaysian WHM Fellow,

A malaysian friend is looking for some staff. Anyone interested to work in Japanese restaurant with decent wages (>min wages) plus tips, kindly let me know. Accomodation and daily meals (japanese food!) are provided. There are several chain restaurants in different location in UK.

Happy May Day!

Hi all, I am new here. Pls gimme some guidance to apply WHM visa to UK.

I came across the news where WHM visa immigration route has now closed and replaced with Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme). And Malaysia is no longer participated in this scheme. However, you guys seem still able to get the visa.

I am 27 this year and currently working in Singapore with SPR holder. I have no problem with the minimum required fund amount with supportive documents. Am I eligible to apply? How to apply from Singapore? or should I apply from Malaysia?

Thx.

According to the below link:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier5/youthmobilityscheme/

It stated the countries on the scheme now are:

Australia;
Canada;
New Zealand.

Have you check with BHC-Singapore to double confirm?

I apply mine on 30th Sep 2008, but granted the visa on 7th Jan 2009.

(I apply in Malaysia, I know the Youth Mobility will be replace the WHM on 27th Nov 2008, thats why I apply earlier).

Dedicate a song for u " 25 mins too late by Michael Learns to Rock" :P
