Quoting flaunt :

Hi,
Can you kindly tell me how do you find tha job in UK? any difficulty of finding a job or room? ANYBODY pls give some advice if possible.....Thank you...Thank you...
Hope to hear from you soon...

To flaunt,

I found my job through gumtree website and it comes with a place to stay. Usually (as what i heard) accomodation or maybe a partially subsidied room rent will be given if you're in the hospitality field.
I'm in Chester, i do believe it's less competitive here than in London, where many flock over to there in search for jobs. On top of that, i think it's really about what kind of work that you're looking for, and where you wanna fly into. Then, ask anyone who's in that particular region you're flying into to tell you more.
And it's also why they needed you to have a sufficient amount to qualify for this work holiday.. in case you're not able to find a job in your first two months here.
Do not get worried if you may not be able to find a job. You will with a legal visa that is. When i was in Malaysia, i was unsure too, needed my friends who's here in the UK to give me an assurance. So i'm giving it to you now
I flew into Manchester in the beginning with a booked accomodation in a hostel. I didn't find what i wanted, so i send out some cv's to other places like Edinburgh and Chester. I was called for an interview in Chester, so packed my bags and headed here. In my mind, it was that if i didn't make it,
i'm just gonna seize the opportunity to explore Chester.
Hope i helped in some way. Write again if anything :)

Thanks for your useful information, I've been told hospitality job is the easiest to find but I've been a image stylist since 1998 means I don't have any experience in this line, do u think it'll be hard for me to find a hospitality job? do u mind to tell me how much will we properly get in hospitality job? Were you applying for the waiter at that time? do they pay weekly or monthly? Sorry for asking so many questions. Thanks.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hope to hear from you soon

My friend who went UK this Apr by WHV bought 1 way ticket and she enter UK without problem.

By the way, I didn't submit my education certificate to the British High Commission. If you have a financial sponsor, you need to submit a letter which indicates your relationship with the sponsor and how much he/she sponsor you. This letter shd be 'wrote' by the sponsor and has his/her signature on it. It is better if you can submit the bank in slip.

Moreover, I did submit my travel plan which tell them the reason I wanna go UK, and the places I would like to visit, where to sleep and ...

Good luck to those who are going to apply the visa.

Did you mean hair stylist?
It is not hard to find work in hospitality though some employers might want some of experience. Not to worry, so as long as you let your qualities shows at your arrange interview - like your character, positive image, adaptability, willingness to learn (the list goes on..) and leave it to them to decide. Do not be worry, you will find a job with a legal visa :). Do you seriously want to work in this industry?
Pays range between £5-6 or more per hour. I'm working by hourly and salary comes once a month. It depends on different employers, some do get paid weekly.

Your friend in NHS has got a similar job with me? Uh.. i think it's bit personal to reveal how much i'm getting here . I does mostly everything in so to help run the guest house serving, DIY, cleaning to check-in and more.

Dear all,

Good day!

I'm planning to apply for the WHM visa too.. I just started my employment few months back. If i quit for the visa, would it hinder me from getting the visa?..I am earning 2k+ currently and i have no friends in UK. Reli hope that i'll be able to get the visa. Pls advise. Tq;)

nic_nic,

You can resign only after you get the visa. You can request to start your visa by the date you want, provided it is within 3 mths from the date of your application.

You can state the favour date on the VAF. If your visa is approved without asking for the interview, your visa will start on the date you stated.

This is my experience.
