you've been a working holiday maker and u didnt work throughout the 2 years?
If you did , u must have p60 and p45.
I think the reason the HO asked u this so that you werent doing 'cash in hand job' to run away tax.

On the bank statement wise , you can print out and get it stamp/verify from your bank

bout the bank statement, since i m currently in malaysia, and my interview is scheduled in 2 days time from now so it is impossible for me to get the my bank statement verified?

mmmm... will the interviewer let me go so easily? anyone has been to an interview before? how was it? serious interview? or casual interview? may i ask?

If you check back on this thread you'll see that a Malaysian passport holder is no longer eligible for a WHV. It's no longer called a WHV either, it comes under the "Youth Mobility Scheme" and that visa is only available for people who are Australian, Canadian, Japanese, or from New Zealand.

Hi All,

Can anyone share the best rate & way to transfer GBP to MYR?

Say less amount between GBP1000-GBP2000?

I not sure is safe to use XE.com as bank charge relatively expensive.

Dear Vanessa,

Good Day!
I'm so impressed about your experience living in UK! It sounds Dreams come True for me!

Just need your help a little, I'm a IT guy working as Software Engineer for 8 yrs+ in KL, now wishing to work abroad to experience life. I have a few questions here:

1. As per what I know, Malaysians can stay in UK for 6 months, I wonder is the Job Market is demanding for IT line?

2. Besides IT line, is the jobs market are ok for me to work while earning some bugs to travel around?

3. Is it easier to get employer to sponsor me to work in UK (regardless of which city)?

fyi, I've been hoping to work & stay abroad for years, and I really hope that your advices can enlighten me.
Thank you very much!

Hi there,

I was almost a month here in London! Very nice, London is very lovely!!!

Finally my dream comes true.

For those who worrying about the living expenses, grocery cost, rental cost etc… Don’t worry, London still can stay even thought they are world ranking number 2 of the highest expense country to live on!

My experience to share:

1.I stay in SE, London area, where I share a big room with Kate, nice and big enough.

2.Transport, I take mostly bus because right in front of my house there is a bus stop. If u travel more, u will be benefit on the MAX cash cap of different type of transport u r using!

3.Grocery shopping, I went Sainsbury and Tesco; I have most of the food like: tomatoes, bacon, sausage, lettuce, broccoli, milk, cereal, eggs, grape, strawberry, kiwi, digestive biscuit (All this is affordable if compare to Malaysia). Chinatown food is so so only, I better fly back to Malaysia for my Chinese food :P

4.Regarding jobs, there are plenty of jobs in London! We even have chance to reject an offer :P As long as u stick to ur plan example like the job u really want to do, then go for it! Dun worries about no job, economic crisis cos the earth still turning even thought u face any crisis!

I’m busy on daily visit out, but I really decided to stay in London but occasionally will travel to outside London.
Another big question!

Anyone using WHM visa for Master study? I ask few Uni, some Uni they do accept some Uni insist I need to use student visa!

Anyone has any idea how to qualified urself for the home tuition fee instead of international student fee?

Can anyone share ur experience?

For your information, the 6-month visa-free stay is STRICTLY for social/business visit only, and NOT for employment. Employers will not hire you if you're on a social visit pass, as they (and you, too) will be breaking the immigration laws. Employers who are caught hiring immigrants without work visa will be fined GBP10,000 (per illegal hiring), while you will be deported and banned from entering the country for a number of years.

If you want to work in the UK, apply for a work visa. You can get more information at the UK Border Agency.

Morning Hien,

Thanks for your advice.

I've checked out the visa information, however, if I'm going for Tier 2, i need to be sponsored by the employer in uk first right?

What I wonder is, is the Job Market in UK allows me to get sponsored by the employer with my skillsets?
Please advice.
Thank you very much! ;)
