Hi everyone

Me and my bf planned to go to the UK on WHM Visa for the past months. We intend to submit our application together in December (because Only then our bank will be able to show 3 months statement) My queries are as follows

1. How do I submit a travel plan for 2 years. Kindly provide me some example.
Note: If we are providing his aunt's place as where we are going to stay, do we still need to come up with a travel plan. Do we really need a sponsor from the UK

2. Can our Guarantor be the same person (eg: my mom)

3. Can our Spondor from London be the same person as well (His aunty)

4. Do I need to show my education certs (Degree ONLY or together with my transcripts)

Kindly advise. Many thanks

Hi reenaraj,

1. Travel plan is needed though have you've a place to stay. It is not neceesary to have a sponsor - I didn't have one
when i applied but had to proved i am financially able. For the travel plan, i just put down the places to visit, region
that i wanted go and how long i plan to stay, what i have in mind to work, how i wanted to travel around in UK,
ending with a pledge to leave UK after no longer than 2 years,etc.. This does not have to be too
long, just A page will be alright.

2. I couldn't remember if the form states that sponsors could be non-related.. if so, should be okay - if your
mom is 'bank negara'.

3. As above

4. I do not know how VFS KL differ from Singapore (i applied in Singapore).

Hi, I know how you feel.... the most important is your financial documents I guess, show them as much as you can, like F/D or any bank statement that prove you have the money to sponsor you travel in UK, you can pass on your parent's financial's document as your sponsor if they have much stronger bank saving than yours, you can actually skip the interview section if it's strong enough, but it'll depends on luck too.
I passed my application on 25th June and got call for interview 2 days after.. the itinerary that I gave them is just for about 17 days in London and the information of some tourist attraction, my interview date is 16th July, I will share my interview expereince no matter how's the result, give some reference for the future applicants.;)
Anyway, just wish me luck.

Dear flaunt,

are you still hang around in this forum?
one last question, you stated that you summitted your application on 25th June, and had your interview on 16th July,
did you go and get your passport first? or directly went to interview?
bcoz the passport can be collected after we summitted the application for 5 days.
however, your interview was 2-3 weeks later from application date.
am i right? mctnesh?

Passport can be collected after 5days for cases where the application is ether approved or declined.
However, for cases that needs an interview... VFS will inform you about the interview date and handover your documents + passport to the British High Comms.
So, you have to go for the interview and right upon being interviewed, you can collect your passport regardless of the outcome.
Im just guessing, correct me if im wrong.

my friend summitted her application yesterday, and got a call for an interview but it is 2 weeks later.
the matter is, her passport can be collected after 5 days, which she was told after she summitted the application.

In this case, did anyone experience this before?

sounded weird, does this mean she fails to get her visa?

If an application is immediately approved or rejected, the passport and other documents can be collected on or after the given date (5 days in this case - it varies depending on their workload).

However, in cases where an interview is required, the passport and other documents are withheld by the British High Commission until the day of the interview. You may collect them after that at VFS.

Nobody is able to tell you for sure, as we could only guess based on testimonials by applicants. Plus, each country have their own policies on approving WHV applications.

Anyway, I think your NZ WHV experience will help you in some way. However, there are other important requirements that they look into, such as your financial state and your interview outcome if you are required to attend one.

In my opinion, under normal circumstances where all requirements have been met, the most important thing in the interview is to convince the interviewer that your main intention is to travel and working is just a means for you to finance your travels. If you can do that and assuming you meet all their requirements, I'm pretty sure you will be given the visa. How you are going to do it will depend yourself. The questions asked are motly based on but not limited to everything you've given them in your application.
