Quoting naveen83

sound like the percentage of getting WHM visa through an interview was very low.

How did you come up with that?

Dear Hien,

"sound like the percentage of getting WHM visa through an interview was very low."

How did you come up with that?

:) from the people who dropped the msg over here, mostly failed to get the WHM visa after interview.
I think, 60% will fail us, 40% depends how we react & perform ourselves..
They must have some doubts on us, otherwise won't ask us for interview, right...
The problem is, why i was chose? is that becoz i'm a girl? not independent enough?

anyway, don't take my comment seriously, perhaps i'm wrong.

mctnesh,

yes, i made a mistake, it's 9 Nov. I saw it wrongly, calendar. it's next friday.
alright, i'll do my best and well prepared for it.

I aint sure about the percentage of applicants getting thru the interview... its rather difficult to gauge since we have no idea about the number of applicants at first place.
But this is my opinion, gender should not have weigh in order to get your application approved.
Regardless whether you're a male or female, as long as your documents could CONVINCE the Entry Clearance Officers, i foresee no issues of not getting your visa approved.
When i was making my preparations, i read thru the guidelines many times, searched the internet for more tips on this visa, read an entire book on travel tips to England and etc.
It took me few months(2 months exactly) to collect, compile, certify, translate all the necessary documents.
I also did a writeup on why i am interested in the visa, my inspiration & aspirations.
Upon preparing the complete set of submission documents (application form, Supporting documents, Appendix of Documents & a practical travel plan plus costings), i asked my friends to take a look at them for a second opinion. They gave good reviews :)
After the 2nd opinion, i showed the documents to a stranger....haha yes.. a friend's friend whom i have not met before for 3rd opinion.
I was telling myself if this fella could relate and understand my full documents and impressed with it, then it is as good as getting the visa approved by the VFS officer without any interviews.
At the end of the day, i submitted my application ONLY after i knew there was NO more room for improvement.

Guess my hardwork paid off

WOW!!!!

Thanks for your good info in details. You really well prepared for everything.

i'm not prepared good enough, i think.

I do not have any invitation letter from friends, which support my stay in UK.
I do not have employment experience, coz i'm student, fresh graduated.
Your travel plan is accordingly, in details.
I only roughly stated the places i wish to visit. that's all.

OMG.. i should blame myself, hehe
I didn't summit any evidence for flight tickets, never think of it. *what a miss out*

Shortly, the only thing i can do, must do more homework before attend the interview. God bless me...

really wish i can visit there, too excited to experience the life over there;
before settle down in our home country.

Naveen,
I didnt show my evidence of flight ticket and still ive been granted .
Dont be down what you did or what u didnt not submit. At the moment , just prepare yourself for the interview.
Remember what you wrote in the application and tell the truth.

There is so so much of advice and point of views on what you should show or shouldnt show.
The whole thing is that your financial status must be strong and your documents supporting it should make sense.
Remember, the main reason for this visa is to enable you to trave long. Working should come secondary and that is suppose to cover your expenses while travelling. It got to show some evidence that you are an avid traveller .

I wish you all the best and yea ..may God bless you !

smart dude you're mtcnesh!!

my brain can't work out with so many ideas until i read you information last night. there's so many documents and ideas you provided and so far the best resource i get from this forum.

i am kinda in hesitation right now to want to apply or not since i have to fill in the employment details in the VAF form but i can't as i am not working right now. also a silly question here, anybody submit KWSP statement before. i think it's kind of unecessary but i am not that sure.....

that's the good idea ,mctnes to write out an inspiration and experience of the country you been to. i have no doubt to tell it'll add some flavours to whole presentation. well done!

naveen83, you still have time to add more documents, don't worry.

309. Posted by mctnesh (Full Member 69 posts) 8y

naveen83,

I did NOT submit any evidence of flight ticket...jst the fare enquiry printout from Emirates website
Anyway, i dont think its necessary to submit this detail, it can certainly be omitted.

On other documents, i guess its case dependable.
If you're a fresh graduate with no working experience, then i feel you should emphasize A LOT on your travel plan to show your enthusiasm to travel before you start work.
Since you have sufficient fund and a sponsor, the financial part is already well covered :)
If you have sponsor for accommodation, it is only appropriate if you submit the relevant invitation letter else how would they authenticate your case?
Fret not, treat the interview session to speak elaborately on your travel plans and im sure you will get it thru :) :)

kila_kila,
Im glad if the details i posted is somehow helpful for you :)

For my employment details, I did not submit any KWSP statement.
I think it can be omitted.
I work part time for my sister helping her business, so my payslips are just payment vouchers.
If you do plan to apply for this visa... make sure you are fully satisfied with your documents else you're risking losing ur RM1440!
Take your time man :)
