Hey guys,

very appreciate the advices from all of you. thanks mctnesh, kila kila, TunaOK..

as long as they don't think i'm a small kid,
not capable to travel alone, long stay.
BCOZ, my appearance really looks younger, all the time;
perhaps my size is small.*sigh*

Have a good weekend!

For new applicants, you will now be required to use the newly introduced VAF2 form for Working Holiday Makers.
Check it out at VFS website.

naveen83,
Have a great weekend as well :)

Quoting kila_kila

i am kinda in hesitation right now to want to apply or not since i have to fill in the employment details in the VAF form but i can't as i am not working right now. also a silly question here, anybody submit KWSP statement before. i think it's kind of unecessary but i am not that sure.....

I did. But only as a proof to my fake-looking-and-not-so-believable typed out pay-slip that I got from my company, just in case they suspected that. Otherwise, it is not needed.

naveen83, you still have time to add more documents, don't worry.

That's right, naveen83. If you think you have more documents to show them (to support your case), you may bring them on the day of your interview. The interviewer will ask you if you have any more things to show him/her. Remember to make a copy of of the documents, just in case they wanted to keep one.

Hi everyone,

I just got my WHM visa from the BHC in Kuala Lumpur and will be traveling to the UK in January 2008. I was thinking of residing in London during my WHM period. However, I know no one in London since most of my friends are in the West Midlands and other parts of the UK.

Does anyone know where is the best area to stay in London? I'll be living on a strict budget for the first few months til I get a full time job. I saw some cheap accomodation for let in Kensington i.e. bedsits and studio, and I was thinking of going to meet up with property agents once I arrive in the UK. What are the criteria that I should consider when looking for accomodation? Would I be able to rent a a bedsit or studio without a job and a bank account? What about the bills and the council tax?

Is there anyone who's flying to the UK in Jan on WHM visa?

xxx

zero_cool,
Congrats on your visa, i got mine recently as well :)

London is a big city, as you already know :p
There are 6 zones which Zone 1 will be the most central and the accommodations are more upmarket/expensive.
Zone 6 is slightly outskirts, hence living cost here will be slightly cheaper. Do google on this, and you will find lots results.

Im flying late January or early February... do keep in touch.. we could even meetup or do group travel if feasible :D

Cheers
