Hello

I applied WHM from singapore VFS and got rejected. The reason they stated is origin of funds documents and travel plan for 3 months is not proper when compared to 40 % work in UK I mentioned In the questionaire.

So they have given 28 days time to appeal . Is it good to appeal ...Please advise me on this and the appeal process..?

Please can anybody who gone through this process help me as what to do and how many days it will take again for the result of the appeal ?

Thanks
Vijay

Just wan to get some of u all opinion. If say i can get a letter of emplyoment from my fren's boss as a part-timer when i get my visa and they will provide me accomdation while i am working.........will it be good to attach this letter as one of my suporting doc for my application? or better dun do to avoid any suspection from the officers?

For me, the employment letter doesnt sound good for applying WHM visa. Holiday should come first. working should be incidental to holiday but this looks like the other way round. Agree with Taigra, false info is not a good idea.
A letter stating that accommodation will be provided to you is sufficient.
Or maybe it helps to support your application. I could be wrong though.

I second this...

everyone should be aware that the main purpose of WHV is for travelling, not to work..

Do not post in multiple thread and exaggerate ur situation. How many personal messages you have sent. Please post at appropriate thread.

Refer to VFS website, there is an appeal guideline. You have to write in. Make changes to your budget plan and travel plan of 2 years each.
40% working meaning u must be in UK for about a year, not outside UK. I suggest to put travel plan with 6 months in London and 6 months in Manchester, where lots of job available there.
40% working meaning you could earn to that certain amount. 40% earning in UK + 60% from own money(origin of funds) should be able to cover ur living for 2 years in UK.

Sorry, I am not familiar with this la.

  • Was I too harsh??

dear vijay,

i do share your feeling when he application was rejected, however, eco has given you the reason for the rejection and the opprtunity to appeal, so just see what they are unstatisfied and give more info if you have not given enough when you first submit. don't give up and you do have our support, rigth guys?

could you tell us what fund docs you had provided?(originals or copies(certified true copy)) if large sum recently banked in, where do you get the fund from?
does the eco question on your first 3 months of your travel plan or you had just submited 3 months travel plan? we all agreed that travel plan do play a mojor role in getting the visa so do review it before sending the appeal.

you'd been given a chance to appeal so APPEAL, and make sure you do it in 28days as you do not want anything to get more complicated.

for me, vfs had attached the appeal form together with the refusal letter, i think you should have it too. fill up the form give your reason for appeal and provide docs you think will help and they should give the answer in a month.
i as advised by travelite8, i called up BHC two weeks after i had sent in the appeal to confirm they had received my appeal and they called me back in the afternoon to say the officer had not make his decision. a week later, they told me to submit my passport for the visa issuance and two days later i got the visa sticker on my passport.

so let us konw more on what you had submited and we'll try our best to help you

all the best,

taigra:)

hey all...
thank you for posting very useful info, advices and experiences here. i found it to be great!
my best friend and i will be applying for the WHM soon, so all the info we can get would be beneficial!
once again, thanks!

one more thing: to those who have relative or friends in the UK who will be accommodating you, besides the s/p, tenancy agreement and what not, you can get them to send their utility bills (telephone, water, electricity or even mobile) too as evidence. in addition to the letter of invitation of course. ;)

Hi All,

I have a short & quick question. Appreciate that someone would help me on this.

I'm married, with a child less than 1 year old. My spouse and I would apply together. But my kid is too young to travel. any advice? any idea of the chances to get visa if apply without bring along my kid?

thanks.

hey...
i believe MAS is having some kind of sale, promotion at the moment, so anyone leaving for the UK anytime soon, why not check out the offer online... you should be able to get reasonably cheaper tickets! Happy Flying!
