Thanks for the replies, guys...

One more thing, if my application has been approved in June, can I ask them to postdate the approval to July? If possible, how do I put that in writing?

Hi All,

I'm new in here & when i read the postings its sounds easy so i hope u lots could help me on the UK working holidaymaker visa..giving me some ideas on how to survive there.

i'm planning to take up the visa by end of this year or early next year...before anything i need to make some research.

1-what do the they need in order to take the visa
2-what kinda work do they expect u to do when u are in UK.
3-how hard to find a job in UK?for non or professional sector?
4-how do u find a place to stay example renting house or room?
5-what kinda qs do they ask during interview?
6-how much do they expect u to have in ur bank a/c in order for me to apply for the visa?

i really hope u all could give some ideas on how are the life there...

brgds,
skeetzy

1-check out www.vfs-uk-my.com for watever they need for the visa.
2-they do not expect anything, it's up to you, but of course not permanent jobs
3-as long as you're willing to work, there's always a job. for professional sector, will depends on their demand.
4-for the start, can either tumpang your friend's place or budget hostel. can search online. house rental also widely available online.
5-someone posted possible questions earlier.. please search, i can't remember which post.
6-they don't expect anything, as long as it's enough to survive for the first few months. you can work out the budget to convince. Many recommended at least 15k anyway.

I'm yet to leave, so can't tell anything about life there, you may check out this

cheers and best of luck,
Zawa

If they've approve, the date is shown in the visa already, not sure if can postdate. but no harm goin in July when the Visa shows June, you just lose a month or so. Don't drag too long also, bcoz they might question upon entering UK (advice from officer in VFS)

Dear Bes,

if not mistaken there is a column to fill in for the date to travel.

fyi, the best officer can do is to put the travelling date 3 months later from the date you submit the documents.

pls highlight to the officer when submitting the form, they will guide you on this matter:)

I applied in february but my travelling date is in mid May.

however i will only travel next month due to my health problem.

anyway, good luck and take care.

regards,
simon
