Hello me again,

Im going to the full moon party on march 4th. I want to pre-book somwhere to stay so I dont have to walk around looking for a place when i get there. There are so many beaches and places to stay on the internet its quite confusing.

can anyone reccomend good beach huts or a hotel there?

Thank you for your help!!

Dan.

I was there a few years ago and though I did not pre-book anything I did not have problems finding a place. Letme explain: I arrived about 4 days prior to the party so the place is empty. Every day the population roughly doubled, now maybe tripled. So if you arrive early then no need to book something. Being close to the pary beach has pros and cons. Pros: close to the party easy access, walking distance. Cons: can be loud if you go to bed early, possibly expensive depending on budget, and there is a better chance at being robbed. Theft is a possibility anywhere. But here they know that you are are a tourist and have money and possions. So i recommend hiding things very well and using the safe boxes in the hostel. Cant recommend anywhere because I dont remember where I stayed. Hope some of this information is helpful.. Have fun.. Its a blast. Brent

The area around Haad Rin (where the party is held) is usually packed a week before the party, until about the week after.

The best area to stay, in my opinion, is Thong Nai Pan. Wicked beach (white sand, cystal clear water, etc), a chilled out vibe (lots of young families and topless Euro honeys), etc. On the night of the party, you can just jump in a boat taxi (something like 50 baht) and be there in 20 minutes.

Haad Rin is a good party beach, but man, Thong Nai Pan is world-class. Check it out: http://www.planetasiazine.com/content/view/30/10010/

Hello Dannycae

How about Coconut Beach.
I met the owner, of the bungalows there, in a bar, in Koh Phagnan.
He is very easy going, speaks fluent English and will help u with just about anything. He will even pick u up, at Ton sala pier, if u arrive there.
If the bungalows are a bit expensive, for u, then just contact him by phone or email and negotiate a lower price. U can get a lower price if u stay for a certain amount of time. ie more than a week.
Here is the link, that contains his contact details.

Or else u could stay at Am Chalok Lam beach. That is where I spent most of my time. U could stay at Sarisas place or the one to the right of it. Just walk along the beach, and u will find them.
