Hi, i'm flying into santiago on 17th march. i'm going to bus it to buenos aires, stoping off in mendoza and/or cordoba.
Can anyone recomend a good tour i can do in this region.
I'll have about 3 - 5 days to kill before i need to be in buenos aires.... i was thinking of somthing along the lines of horseback riding, or rafting....
i'd realy appriciate any advice from anyone who's been in this region, and some links to reputable tour operators.
please feel free to offer sugestions too, as to what to do with my time here.
The cordillera near Cordoba is beautiful, quiet and very suitable for horse-back trips. I have some addresses at home that I need to look up for you, but if you understand some Spanish, have a look here.
all the wine yards aroundYou can go for a wine testing, hhmmmmh.
or to the snow to see the old inka bridge....
good food also in Mendoza...
no habla espaniol....... i'm learning though :D
ye, if you could post some links that would be cool
According to your interests, I think you'll like Mendoza best. Middle March is too soon for snow, but there are plenty of alternatives. There's a place called Cerro Arco 15 minutes from Mendoza city where you can safely do paragliding (parapente in Spanish).
In Potrerillos you'll find everything you are looking for I guess, it is by the banks of Mendoza River. Rafting, horse riding, kayaking, river board, trekking with rappel. A company called Rios Andinos Rafting is very good, I don't know what prices they have now, but wasn't too expensive when I went. Check in Google.
