J-Farm has indicated that this thread is about England

for the last ten + years i have been the biggest anglophile in relation to music
blue radiohead pulp etc. new. old.
rather endless.
so finally i am making the pilgrimage.
but what venues are still around?
where to find something trully british in sound and scope?
will be there april 28- may 6. any known shows etc?
if it is your band, i am a photographer. would love to photograph some shows while i am there

have a look at one of the ticket web sites (seetickets.com and ticketmaster.co.uk are the most reliable). They have hundreds of bands that are touring that you can buy tickets for.

Check out Timeout.com for listings and venues. The Troubadour near Earls Court is a good venue to see (mainly British) up and coming bands and artists http://www.troubadour.co.uk/club.php.

Koko at Camden is a good venue, it's an old theatre which looks really cool and has pretty good sound. It can be a bit hit/miss with the bands, but it's usually all local Brit acts if that's what you're after.
