Its time to discuss the weather! Its stormy in the Netherlands, many problems. Trains don't drive anymore (more then 5.000 traintravellers got stuck on the trainstations). More then 150 accidents on the motorways. Lot's of damage on houses. Falling trees. Four people got killed because of falling trees. There is a weather alarm which means that the government advises to stay at home. How is it in the rest of Europe? Any shocking experiences, maybe?;)

A dustbin flew past my window earlier just as I was looking out of it - I wish I could have seen the look on my face at the time! What's more, the dustbin flew past my UPSTAIRS window!!

We had a 4hour power cut yesterday. Unfortunatly at the time I was in my laboratory at the time.... no windows. Pitch black. I was putting away a new delivery of chemicals and I coulnt leave them out. So I sat for half hour in the dark before the site manager came with a nice big bright torch.

Damn mobile phone netword went down too. Had no signal. An awful feeling knowing I was out of touch with the world.

Oh yeah, and on the way home, I got hit by a flying tree branch. Only a small one, but i really hurt!

Dublin's fine at the moment, it was quite windy this morning but not unusually so. Looking out our big windows I can see trees moving in the wind but not bent or anything.
I don't mind heavy wind but it's the horizontal rain that I hate. When it gushes right in your face...
