What more? The authorities here on Earth are conspiring to keep it a secret, but its now known that actually the dolphinlike Eyrhsuiuieb people from the planet Rthdbuioh have built a giant 3-bar electric heater which they have been pointing at earth for the last century with the hope of overheating it until the point when they can take control of the watery paradise.

An old guy at the bus-stop with a tin-foil hat told me that.

We're having the warmest winter on record here (except fot today, as it's -10C and snowing). It ctually went up to 12C a few weeks ao - absolutely unheard of, althouh it was rather nice. They say the summer of 2007 will be te hottest one yet...

Anyone sen An Inconvenient Truth...?

Do you know what more is causing the global warming? Peoples breathing. Maybe we should get rid of half the worlds population....no that is not so nice....

The other thing about the weather, is that there's a lot more going on than just the greenhouse effect causing the earth to heat up. That's why in recent years the term "Climate change" is being used, because its a fact, and a problem regardless of the cause. We know for a fact that the ice-caps are melting, and there are so many results that that could have, for example switching off the gulf stream, the warm ocean current which is the only thing stopping Britain and Ireland being as cold as other countries on the same latitude.

What more do you think is happening, Clarabell? All the things you mentioned are caused by the greenhouse effect. This is also called global warming because heat get's absorbed in higher air layers by so called greenhouse gasses (such as CO2, N2, NO3, NH3 expelled by traffic, industry and agriculture (from manure)). The heat can't escape the earth's athmosphere and in fact bounces back to the earth's surface. Causing the global warming. See greenhouse gasses as a blanket in the air around the earth whichs blocks heat. This is why ice-caps are melting and certain areas get warmer. This has also its effect on local animals and vegitation (like polar-bears in Antarctica). Also there will be more water because meltwater is coming down from the mountains. Causing many rivers to go beyond capacity. More water also in the oceans because of the melting of ice-caps. To make things worse. Water will expand when it heats up, which is a problem for lowlands near the sea (like Bangladesh, Louisiana (US), the Netherlands, Somalia).

The other problem you are reffering to is probably the hole in the ozone layer. This is caused by certain gasses but mainly CFC from spraycans (which is now forbidden by most countries). There is big hole above the south-pole at the moment. The ozonelayer absorbes the biological very harmfull ultraviolet (UV) radiation. If the hole get's bigger there will be serious risk of increased genetic damage to living organisms. It takes approximately 50 years until all CFC in the athmosphere has biodegraded. Scientists think that the hole will be gone by 2050.

Wow, this is an impressive piece of text, I guess this must be part of your study, isn't it?
I hope you don't mind me just correcting you on one part, that is the polarbears on Antarctica thing...I guess you know what I mean;)
