I would like to stay two weeks on Mull, relaxing, walking, visit what's there to visit like the nunnery, iona, staffa, cairsaig arches, ... . Is this island big ? How should I move around (can I do it with bike hire or is it possible to rent a vespa). I would like to stay in one place and do trips from there, is this possible, does anyone know a good place to stay that is affordable (25 Euro to 50 euro). Or is my only choice for that price a camping. Or can I get a room in a pub. Anyway much appriciate any advice.

Thanx very much

Ps I travel alone

When I went I took my car. the roads are fairly narrow (single track) & personally found it was a bit too hilly for bike riding but I guess it depends on how fit you are (not that I am unfit you understand ).
I stayed on a farm when I went. It was really good, but when I went it was when the "foot & mouth" disease was spreading among all the cattle so most places were closed, all walks etc you had to stop everywhere to wash your shoes & car tyres in disinfectant which slowed us down a little!
But it was a great place to go, very relaxing & peaceful, friendly people & nice scenery.

Try these for campsites - one has beds available quite cheaply.

As far as I remember there were buses from Tobermory too.
