Hi I've moved to vancouver and am looking to maybe go tree planting in may and june. Can anyone recommend a company to apply to for a first time planter? Is there really as much money in it as I've been told? I think I'd be able for the weeks of camping but are there companies who don't do that?

OH, and start applying now. And yeah there's good money in it.
The first year you'll make enough to pay for your gear and that's about it-if you work a full season that is.
It's tough dirty dangerous work and unless you're seriously committed you won't do all that well.
Did you know that the trees you're handling are drenched in all kinds of chemicals to help them grow once they're in the dirt?
Might not bother most people but it does a few.
You need to find a contractor who treats the crew well-how do you feel about sleeping on the ground after working all day in the pouring rain?
How much experience do you have doing heavy labour in the outdoors?
It's not that hard for someone with a farm background but pencil pushers are quickly weeded out-so to speak
