Just felt like starting this thread, being in a reflective mood...

Some days turn into unforgettable turning points in one's life and you keep remembering the event and lesson each year.. an anniversary of the event, in short. Any particular day in your life that has turned out to be an unforgettable anniversary for you, which is not your birthday or wedding anniversary, and if you wish to share, what is the lesson or memory that you retain from the experience...

I'll start.. today is the 2nd anniversary of my surviving a road traffic accident. One of the lessons I learnt was that I had to focus on the present, take life as it comes, and not think of the past or plan for the future.

I have more or less the same as Micheal. 7 february 2003, I went for my first long trip (overland to India). That date I never forget. Sometimes I wish that it is 6 februari 2003. That feeling before a trip is great. But the trip itself is much better...
