It going to be cold, say around and below zero degrees celsius. If you go into the mountains (Switserland) there will also be snow so colder.
So it depens what you call cold.

Hi Brian,

I was in the Czech Republic last December for 4 days, it was cold and you definetly will need scarf / hats etc.... but to be honest it didn't take any of the enjoyment out of the place. The hostel we were staying in Prague ( Sir Tobys) was organising ski trips at the weekends for really cheap prices, we didn't go on them so i'm not sure how they turned out, we travelled around a few of the smaller towns for a few days, if you have the time you should go the see Ossuary, this is a church where the basement is decorated with bones, ie a family crest made of bones. Its a very impressive if not wierd sight to see, not too far from there by bus is a small town called Telc that is well known for the preserved unique square, its very picturesque, last year it was snowing and we were the only people there, its well worth a visit........

If you want any more info about Czech Rep, feel free to contact me, besides the above we also visited Cezky Krumlov, Tabor, and Brno........................
