Ah, that makes more sense. I thought it was about arguing with a priest or something... You know, ask him about Noah

Fate can also be called destiny. And minging is an Irish word for ugly, extremely unpleasant or disgusting.

So provoking destiny.....I just don't get it really. But if you take Wouter's example, then probably walking around naked on Antarctica could be another example?

Pardus! I remember you saying in another thread that you sometimes poop on peoples heads. I think that is a perfect example of tarting fate...

Oh... fate... No wonder, you confused us so much.

Travelling through a mined area... :(

Listening to an astrological prediction on radio which says you are going to have a really bad day...

Saving so much for your future, by being so tight on your current spending...

Yea.. the above would result in people going, 'what else was to be expected?' if someone was blown up by the mines, or had a bad day or just had their savings stolen. But then, on the other hand, if it was fate, how can you really provoke it if it was already part of your destiny?

I think the expression is "tempting fate"... is that what you mean, Wouter? Hmm... I'd say I tempted fate all through high school by eating at the cafeteria. Who puts carrots in lasagna?
