Travel Forums Travel Gear Sleeping Bag Liners for use in hot climates/hostels...

Hi, It is my first time travelling and I have been advised I may need a sleeping bag liner for use in hostels etc...
I will be staying in hostels in Thailand, Bali and Australia....
I like the idea of having one incase the bedding in the hostels doesnt look too clean...

My main question is... many of the liners I have seen seem to be made of Poly-cotton, rather than cotton... will this be too hot for use in such climates? or will they be ok? any one have experience of this?

Does anybody else use these whilst stayin in hostels?

Cheers

Mike:)

Ive just done a search of the forums, and the general consensus seems to be silk ones would be best!

Ive found bargain ones on ebay £10 delivered!!! Thing I may purchase one...

Hey Mike

Well £10 is definitely a bargain for a silk bag liner. I bought one from Ebay myself for £12 and I was very happy with the price so I'd buy it if I were you!

Yep, silk ones are great. I have one and I'm really glad I have it.

Only thing is though, most hostels are adamant that you dont use a sleeping bag or a liner on their beds as this actually worsens the bed bug problem.

Still though, I know I'd rather sleep in my nice clean liner than on some of the grotty beds Ive seen! ;)
