tttom has indicated that this thread is about Australia

Hi guys, there's so many different points of view on which bus to choose. OZ Experience or Greyhound?!!

Im starting in Cairns mid March and have over two months to get to Sydney. I love partying and meeting new people but does this always mean choose Oz Experience? I want reliable transport and also the best value for money.

Greyhound does sound more reliable but oz exp. sounds like more fun so im kinda stuck.

Thanks for any feedback.

Tom

I took Greyhound while I was in Australia and it was very reliable. However, the OZ buses did look like a lot of fun. If you're taking short rides (less than 3 hours), I would just take Greyhound. It will give you a chance to catch up on your sleep and you will have plenty of time to meet people and socialize in hostels, pubs, etc. I'm not sure what the prices are, but if you are on a strict budget, I would obviously go with the cheaper option. On your way down to Sydney be sure to spend a few days on Fraser Island - it is amazing!

It depends what you want really... Oz Experience includes visits and activities in their cost but Greyhound is literally just a way to get from A-B. I did the Greyhound as we wanted the freedom to do our own thing. As far as I've ever heard the Oz Experience is boozed up 19 years olds...

I found Greyhound very good and as they usually run about 5 departures a day you can choose what time you leave at. Premier Coaches is also an option. It's a lot cheaper than the others but there's less departures a day. It's just a bus, like Greyhound...

Greyhound costs £170 3000Km ticket which lets you hop on hop off. Its the way im doing it in April.

Nice one guys thanks for that, yea Im edging towards Greyhound just because there will be plenty of time to get boozed up and meet people at hostels etc.

Greyhound does sound like the way and gives you the freedom aswell. So many people will be doing the same route anyway so either way your gonna meet people i suppose.

Much appreciated, cant wait now!! Also Fraser Island is first on my list don't worry about that!!

Cheers
