I am a US citizen, 24, and looking to visit the UK on a WHV spring 2008. I am planning ahead and trying to figure out if this is feasible. I have the funds, but I am concerned about finding work. From what I've read, it's difficult to find a job on a WHV, particularly in a professional field. I am a graphic designer, and looking to find a position in advertising or design. Any suggestions? Advice? Am I hoping for the impossible here? Thanks--
Feel like an idiot, should really do my research before I post these things.
Turns out as a US citizen I am not eligible for a WHV. Feeling very disappointed...
if america opens up its doors to the uk then the uk will do the same.
lets forget about your nationality here anyway. anyone who arrives to the uk on a whv limits themselves from professional jobs, as companys have to prove why they need to take you on in the first place. having said that it also depends on what you do. if you can do contract work in your field then you wont have a problem for perm positions then yes.
