I don't know much about this kinda stuff, but are an overload of photos or old threads maybe a possible cause? Or the video?

Shouldn't be causing this kind of slowness.... not with the only modest extra traffic of the last few days.

Sam, see if you could find a crowbar around the server rack.

It's on and off; used to be slow all day, now it's blazing fast all of a sudden... strange

What are you - TP's Crime Scene Investigator??? Stop planting evidence!!!!!! I only have one crowbar and I haven't seen it in weeks as someone else has been "misplacing" it.

Sorry - can't say TP ever sped up for me today. The longest wait time was 3 minutes, the shortest (so far) about 45 seconds.

Good luck!! Maybe hit the server with the crowbar...

sooooooooo sloooooooooooooooow

But enough about my mental abilities. The site is running fine

[Having said that, my - admittedly brief - attempts to log in yesterday evening were aborted because everything was really slow]

It might actually have been related to some kind of attack on an internet backbone that affected a whole legion of sites.... that's what I hope at least :)

I guess that might be true. Just a while ago, I had to disconnect and reconnect to my ADSL connection multiple times just to be assigned under another IP segment as the previous one have a lot of timeouts and packet drops from Taiwan onwards.

Now I'm on another IP segment and this goes through another route. Did a traceroute and there was no packet drops at all. Speed of TP is back to normal.
