I am planning on a 3 week overland trip to Africa this year. I have done a lot of research but it only makes it more difficult to decide where to go:
Nairobi to Victoria Falls (via Tanzania and Malawi) OR Victoria Falls to Capetown (via Okavanga Delta and Namibia)
The first option seems to offer more culture and the second has more adventure and adrenalin; I would like a bit of both. If anyone has been to been to both areas and can offer their opinion, it would be a great help.
I am also looking at a tour up to Tanzania in early March - have you found any tour co. that you are planning to use?
my interest would go with your first option - though I just saw some photo's of Nambia etc yesterday and I have been to Cape Town before and it is an amazing city so you have a tough choice... maybe do both :-)
I found East Africa to be more of what I expected from Africa - a bit more basic. Southern Africa seemed more established for tourism. You can always get your adrenalin fix in Vic Falls!
