Bad day?

I've just had the worst day and I can't even really say why. Just one of those days that leaves you feeling like you've listened to Vincent by Don McLean one too many times (you know, the one that starts with "Starry, starry night...").

So in lieu of wallowing, here's a thread to vent, seek sympathy, primal scream, act silly, [email protected], sing, recite bad poetry, bark at the moon, pour a martini, or post more pictures of Sander. Your choice!

Me first: I wish I hadn't bought the dang low-fat cookies!!!!!

I had to scream at my truck delivery guy this morning because he kept answering his cell phone while trying to unload the 322 boxes for my store and was moving really slowly as well. Then, he got pissed off at me for yelling at him because it was his boss on the phone. I told him I didnt care who it was that he needed to get the boxes out of his truck and into my store already. I was steaming. Not my favorite way to start a morning, especially mornings that begin at 4am with very little sleep.

The way I would like to express my anger is in the form of modern dance:

the black curtains rise and emerging from the billowing mists of dry ice and fake smoke a shadowy outline emerges,

a low drum role begins and the figure takes a low slow bow amidst the fumes of modern dance fire...

  • a clash of symbols*

the figure all dressed in black lycra takes two overexaggerated steps to the left

then two to the right

then suddenly they stop and appear to be listenening to a far off melody

they run to the side of the stage in panic, they run here, they run there,

no escape. arms flinging far and wide, jazz hands tremble in fear and terrible anger...

  • second clash of symbols and the drum roll gets louder"

The figure flings itself to the ground at the back of the stage clawing the walls trying to escape...

and then silence.

more silence

more silence

The figure lies prostrate on the floor in shaking rage

more silence

and then....

the music, the melody begins....

"Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me crrrrryyyy....

Precious kisses
Words that burn me
Lovers never ask you why
In my heart the fires burning
Choose my colour
Find a star
Precious people always tell me
Thats a step
A step too far...."

You've been looking at too many birthday threads there Mim, eh? I am expecting to see green speedoes and knee high boots soon...

Stupid delivery service. I had it with them, never showing up when they're supposed. Looks like I have to trail up to their office to pick the stuff up myself. GRRRR...

Oh, yeah, work... BOOOOORING... I hate this job and I am waiting to get out but things keep getting postponed... Come on, make up your minds you idiots!!!

Love it! Thanks, Mim!

After I posted this last night, I popped in an Eddie Izzard stand-up CD, laughed so hard I spat at the screen, then got a call from an old colleague asking if, hypothetically, I'd even consider making the move to his agency. TP is theraputic AND makes wishes come true. It even does windows. Thanks, TP! ;)

Sorry, have nothing to "vent, seek sympathy, primal scream, act silly, [email protected], sing, recite bad poetry, bark at the moon, or pour a martini" about this morning... The day is still young...

But, glad you are feeling better T!!! ;)

And Mim - that was a wonderful performance!!! Maybe you and Beerman can team up and take the show on the road?? Are you adverse to chestwigs?? ;)

--------------------

NEVER buy low-fat cookies!!! What's the point of a good food binge if it's low -fat???? No wonder you were angry!!!!

Here's something to scream about...

Puxatony Phil, the official Groundhog's Day groundhog saw his shadow this morning and that means 6 more weeks of winter. Bah humbug!!! (Yeah, I realize it's 6 more weeks of winter regarless of the little rodent's shadow casting, but BAH HUMBUG all the same!)

His Canadian equivalent - Cannucki Joe or whatever is name is - didn't see his shadow. Go with that instead!

The Australian equivalent (Wallaballonga Wally - a wallaby) has been spotted eating grass from the left side of the field which means absolutely nothing... But hey, it's a fine reason for a barbeque and drown a couple of cans, eh?
The Swiss equivalent (Zermatt Caesar) has finished his calculations but refuses to tell anybody because he's afraid to get sued by Ed Fagan (after all his great grandfather had been making forecasts whose outcome benefited the Nazis during WW2).
And lastly, the Malaysian equivalent Kuala Deng has just been eaten by Hien.

I had a pretty crap day today too. I think primal scream therapy could be in order (and I mean the shouting, not the band).
