AND GOT RIPPED OFF $50

Agree with going to the toilet together - its a very annoying feature of young german girls and usually cause for a lot of hilarity among the boys. A line in a popular German hip hop song goes "if I was a girl for a day, I would clear up all questions once and for all, questions like ... is it really necessary to always go to the toilet together?..."

Despite being a girl, I never got the attraction of listening to your friend pee either, and I would love to have that above question answered too!

BTW, if you are interested, there are several books on Germans out there. Some are quite funny and dead on. I liked "The Xenophobe's guide to the Germans" by Ben Barkow and Stefan Zeidenitz, but there are other good books besides this one.

Be also assured that in Berlin and Munich there a similar stories circulating on Aussies and Kiwis. (If you had ever run into an Aussie during Munich Octoberfest or while s/he was on the Berlin pub crawl, you would believe the most outrageous things about Aussie tourists too.)

Germans apparently have strange habits. I grew up two kilometers from the German border. Many Germans lived in my neighbourhood because the houses are cheaper then in Germany. Never communicated to them because they never tried to speak or learn Dutch. That fact didn't gave me a nice impression of them. And at school I learned a lot of "nice'' and "pretty" things about the Germans. So I can't make you think better about the Germans. Imagine; we could all have been Germans and act like that. Funny stories you told. Great amusement.

I'm assuming you don't mean that they hold hands and go to the toilet together at the same time.

Never had any problems with Germans or while in Germany. If you compare it to other countries in Europe, Germany is one of the best in all different kind of ways.

Are you surprised? That is very normal in Germany. Tradition. The most profound conversations in Germany occur on the toilet when sharing a toiletseat

Michael, are you mental. Have you forgotten about the eye. The eye that sees everything. Watch your language. Keep it clean. Are you a lazy member? It watches.....always
