We have 7 nights, 4 nights booked in Berlin, and we don't know what to look and see for the other 3 nights. we have car, and our flight is leaving from Berlin.
Is it worth to go to Czech Republic? or to stay in Germany? we are couple at the 60's .thanks

If you want to go to Prague, it will take you about 4 hours to reach it by car, so it is doable. But you can also settle on visiting Potsdam, Weimar and Dresden. If you are leaving in spring/summer you can also consider the Härz area. It's an area with some hills (not sure if it would be OK, to say mountains) and a lot of green. A good place if you would like to go for a long walk in nature, after spending a couple of days in the city.

From Berlin, I can highly recommend going to Rügen. It is Germany's biggest island and situated in the Baltic Sea. From Berlin it is about 3 hours by car. There are some very nice places along the coast. Write to the local tourist office

Tourismuszentrale Rügen GmbH
Bahnhofstr. 15
18528 Bergen auf Rügen
Tel.: (0 38 38) 80 77 80
Fax: (0 38 38) 25 44 40

E-Mail: info (at) ruegen.de

or visit the website http://ruegen.de/index.html?&L=1.

Seeing as you are from Israel, I can also recommend the Spreewald area. I've been to Israel, and the Spreewald area is the environment most removed from what Israel is like. Note that the Spreewald is best in spring, April to June. Nearby, Dresden is very nice too. The Grüne Gewölbe (Green Vault), one of the biggest art collections in Europe, has been reopened recently and is truly a sight to see.

I can also second the vote for the Harz mountains and Weimar - the town is essentially Germany in a nutshell.

Thank you very much.
I think to go to the Baltic sea in March will be too cold. So, I think we'll travel to Potsdam and the region arround.

Berlin is a city where you can easily spent the whole 7 days without getting bored. Very famous tourists attractions in Berlin besides the Potsdamer plaza and the Reichstag include the zoo, the “green lung” of the city, the magnificent architecture of the museum island, a beautiful big park to relax in and a huge lake where locals used to spent their holidays during the suppression as they had nowhere else to go to plan their vacations.

But if you do want to go to the Czech Republic and Prague, tourists head primarily for the Wenceslas Square, the Altstädter ring and the Karl bridge. Have a read on prague tourist attractions in some of the tourist guides.

enjoy your trip!
Tom
