Is copying things from websites, and pasting them, in posts allowed, or is that illegal?

We do not prohibit members quoting text from other websites. However, it is best that you include the source of where you got the information from by putting an internet link at the bottom of the quoted text.

For example:

Just to be clear, if the owner of that website contacts us and can prove they have copyright over that text, we have no choice but to delete it if they want this. Not that this has ever happened and I personally consider the chances of it happening small if proper reference is given, but I should point this out
