I'm not going to explain nor defend my position. For a start, I can't be bothered, and secondly, I'm late for work

More like u cant explain your position.

Yeah probably. I'd say that's about it huh!

I do have a problem with the pillar of salt and 700 year old people - but that's just me...

What about the virgin mother? Do u have any problem with that one?;)

If I look at the world in the eyes of god. Then I notice that in the developing countries are more religious people. That is remarkable, isn't it:)

I think this is because, people in developing countries dont have as much access to education and information, as we do.

I don't want to derail this thread, but I do think that homosexuality is wrong on many levels.

As for "proof" of God, what sort of proof would satisfy you?

What levels are u talking about? I dont think people having sex with same sex people are harming anybody?

Any proof of God, which makes sense and is logical would interest me.
Satisify, is too strong a word, to use here. It suggests not seeking further knowledge.

Satisfy is certainly not too strong a word. What, you want inconclusive proof, or just "a bit" of proof. How about "some" proof, but not enough for you to really be sure?

sweetheart ... religion doesnt interfere with the law of the state .... it helps you make the right laws which help the society run in peace and smooth!
u think the state laws are responsible for not properly giving importance to women rights? Islam totally gives all independence and respect to women ... it is the corrupt mind of those who make the laws who dont give these laws much security!
plz dont take religion as just the worship of YOUR god .... it is a lot more .... it is a way of life!

Dear Fuchsinrot
What happens to a woman, in Pakistan, who does not wish to follow this way of life? Will everybody accept this? Or is there no escape, from this way of life?
Love from Sweetheart.

PS. I will give u the benefit, of the doubt, and presume that u were not calling me Sweetheart, in a partonising way.

Huh??
There are people who were never religious, in the first place.
And I think it is possible for people to become athiests, because religions does not make sense to them, so they simply stop bothering with it.

You haven't been brought up with some kind of religion? But you apparantly stopped, so there was a moment to choose for you in my opinion. You choosed to be atheist I feel

I dont think I ever chose to be or not to be religious. I was brought up in Ireland, which is heavily Catholic, but I never really did take it seriously.
