Will I get a prize, if I make the lists u ask for?
The list of US states with ultra-violent primitive Judeaic crimes on their stature books will suffice for credibility reasons

What the fuck
Oh alright, I admit that I cant make such a list, but I also insist that there is no point in doing so.
Discussing whether Islam or Christianity is the worst would be pots and kettles endlessly bickering. They are both black, and that is that.
Time and circumstances must be taken into consideration. The enlightment swept accross Europe because of general receptivity and a certain set of circumstances. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Averroes walked this earth, several hundred years before the enlightenment. Those born before their time suffer, and their words fall on deaf ears.

These people who were born before their time plant the seed, which will push our society the next step forward. That what falls on deaf ears today will be common knowledge in the future.

Karl Marx or Thomas Jefferson?

Karl Marx or Thomas Jefferson?

Both.
There is common knowledge now, and what was common knowledge 20 years ago....
Common knowledge from 50 years ago would not be the same as what is common knowledge today.
Karl Marx and Thomas Jefferson developed their philosophies, based on the world as they saw it, and the world that they could envision should certain changes be made. If they were alive today they would likely modify their theories, or even develop new ones, based on the trial and error results.

Oh alright, I admit that I cant make such a list,
In post #326 you list 13 Old Testament 'stoning to death' punishments for crimes against God's covenant.
When I ask you to link any of those primitive laws to the contemporary legal statutes on any of the 50 US states your answer is "WHAT THE *UCK".
Scarcely Aristotelian logic.

I also insist that there is no point in doing so.
If there is no point in doing so, why did you post ancient and primeval history in the first place.?
Discussing whether Islam or Christianity is the worst would be pots and kettles endlessly bickering. They are both black, and that is that.
The subject of the thread is 'Americans and religion', not the comparison between Christianity and Islam.
If Il Papa tried to sentence a dissenting Catholic to death for heresy, he would be whisked off to Castel Gandolfo for a well earned rest and re-education. If Khamenei issued a death fatwa for Posh Spice there would be thousands clamouring for the honour. Cultural relativism doan float ma boat.

The humanity of Averroes has been subjugated by the Islamist totalitarianism of Sayyid Qutb and Maulani.

Well, this line of agrument is changing from a line of argument to a right heap of spaghetti.

If u insist on thread title integrety, then choose a line of discussion or 10 and start a thread for each. I will then toss in my 2 cents to each pot, many times.;)

I think that, religion is a great power which controls many people in any country.

The subject of the thread is 'Americans and religion', not ancient Jewish stoning practices or 'all religions are evil'.
I simply asked you to explain the relevance of post #326 in a contemporary American context and you deviate from the subject and now want to discuss Italian cooking instead.

I view the concept more as a 'subject of discussion' rather than a 'line of argument'.

Yes indeed, I agree. It is a discussion, not an argument.

But anyway, I dont think staying religiously on topic is always such a virtuous thing. Everything is complicated, with many aspects to explore, in order to gain understanding. Sometimes, it is necessary to explore an off topic subject, in order to gain more understanding of the thread title topic. ;)
