Natascia has indicated that this thread is about Morocco

hello there!

We are going to travel to Morocco on the 20 of March. We will stay a month. My husband and I will be with our then 13 month old baby girl. Has anyone travelled around Morocco with a child?? Do you have any warnings? Things to avoid? or to recommend? Good places that are child friendly to see or stay?? Where in Morocco did you find nice and quiet to have a family holiday? My husband loves culture and I on the otherhand..enjoy the quiet, beach side type holiday. Do you know where we can combine the 2 well??

Sorry for all the questions..being a new member I am excited to have found this group who can hopefully answer my questions :)

Hi Natascia

There are a number of places on the coast that would work well. Essaouira is the most obvious one, with an interesting old medina plus a huge beach and, now, lots of big hotels etc. Something to keep everyone happy.

Morocco is very child friendly, and I suspect you will find travelling here en famille easier than in Europe.

Kind regards

Mark

hi Natascia,
Morocco is a wonderful country, very friendly to everybody. however, generally speaking, I'd suggest you to avoid the deepest south as it is not so open to western tourists as the north.
have fun!

Hi Natascia,
I can advise for your case to find a lonely accomodation because with your baby you can do noise for the customers if you share may be.
But it is possible for you to come on holidays here, Morocco is a welcome country; it's not only because I'm Moroccan to tell this. I have seen on Marrakesh's streets lot of tourists walking with their babies with different small ages.Because try to avoid montains or the desert because it asks more effort to do. Marrakech or Fes are beautiful cities with teir old history and architecture.
If coming to Marrakech where I'm from go to visit THE MEDERSA, THE MARRAKESH MUSEUM, THE MAJORELLES GARDENS, THE MENARA GARDENS, THE BAHIA PALACE. But keep in mind that walking in the old towns of Fes and Marrakech is like art gallaries with their hand craft shps ans workers.
Try to eat some traditionnal home-made dishes and taste our daily hot drink: mint tea.
Find time to spend one or two days in Essaouira, 150 km from Marrakech, small but wonderfull city with its clean beach.
Finally, try to ease your discoveries by your self, what I find so important.
Enjoy your stay and welcome from my city Marrakesh and from country Morocco.
