Travel Forums System Talk Old Question - New Request...

I know this subject has been brought up more than once, but I can't remember exactly why it's not a "good" or "workable" idea... Please enlighten me again, if you would. Thanks!

Is it possible, without being a complete pain in the patootie, to have folders for our message center??

I deleted a large number of PMs yesterday, but there are certain ones I keep in both the main and sent areas. It would be so convenient to be able to stash them in an appropriate folder and save scrolling constantly to find something. But, if it's not feasible, or just so low a priority, I won't mention it again. As stated above - I just don't remember why it hasn't been a workable option. ;)

I don't think there's anything against this idea. In fact, I think it's a great idea. It's just a matter of priorities. Though I'll admit this is becoming a bigger and bigger issue as the site grows.

Yeah, this needs to be done quickly. Currently, I'm wasting a lot of TP bandwidth each time I open my inbox which contains easily over 500 messages.

I think a simple and quick solution would be to have the inbox page showing the latest 10 or 20 messages by default, with a link or button to click to show the remaining messages.

Paging would also be a good idea if creating folders is too much work to do.

Damn, and I thought my inbox was full... 500??? H, you're a PM packrat.

Granted, I don't have quite that many PMs, but the page idea, to me anyway, would seem to be just as time consuming as scrolling and it still would not divide things into catagories. But, then maybe I'm not understanding the page option... Could PMs be catagorized?

Ah, what it must be like to be popular!

Actually, i probably have a similar number as that, but thats solely because i've never actually deleted a single message (or certainly no more than a handful) for no deliberate reason except that i never had any reason to as mail boxes seem to be limitless in size.

Like both the page and folder options, i must admit.
