I guess the first one does say so indirectly (museum part...).

Marlis, I had a close look.. after some searching, the Monument Valley does turn out to be a rip-off. I've unfeatured it as a result.

I can see no reason to doubt the others though.

The photo of the Desert Museum Barn Owl is consistent with Elisabeth's passion for photography and recent logged trip to Tucson.

The Duoc Langur one actually even appears on Jennifer Palumbo's portfolio.

What makes you think these photos weren't taken by the users in question? It would be nice to back up your reasoning when accusing someone of copyright violation.

As far as I read it, the pictures are taken by the members, but it's a picture of a billboard/poster or whatever.
I have done that as well..

What makes you think this is actually the case though?? I can't see any grounds for believing that about the two photos (excluding the Monument one). As mentioned, the one from the zoo is even used in a portfolio and the member appears legitimately to be a professional photographer. Having her name brought up in a thread in connection to copyright violation is likely to not please her one bit Saying such things flippantly about someone on a public forum could actually affect their ability to earn a livelihood.

I am sorry, I guess we misunderstand eachother...I don't accuse anybody and I don't take copyright is the case here either...just like you. And as I have read it, so does Marlis. She only says it's a picture of a poster or bilboard, which is NOT a crime...my "I have don it" was ment to be ironic in a way. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I mean, it's in the title already (desert MUSEUM barn owl). If I take a picture of a picture in a museum, then it's ok isn't it? And so are these.

Looking at the large version of this photo - it does not appear that it was taken within the Desert Museum walls. Look closely at the owl's legs and he has been tagged. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum not only contains a Natural History Museum, but also a zoo and botanical garden. It covers 21 acres of land with numerous hiking trails so visitors can see animals in their natural habitats also. I really think Elisabeth took this picture somewhere on the Museum grounds. But, only she can verify that information. I'm just taking a wild guess... ;)
