Hello,

I went to prague last year. I booked via this site:

http://www.andel3w.dk

They have almost all accomodations... there are different districts in prague.. so choose the good one for being in the centre.

[ Edit: Snip, snip, no promos please! ]

Hotel or hostel? If I were to pick a decent and not too expensive hotel then the 4* Andel hotel is hard to beat, yeh it's 4* but go onto sites like expedia.co.uk and take a look. It is only 1 stop on the metro to Wencelas Sq (the top i.e. the Museum.) It is worth remembering that Prague is 4 or 5 "towns" that have merged into one large one over the years, so there are subsequently 5 mini centres and areas to explore. However, Nove Mesto/New Town-Wencelas Sq is the main one where most tourists end up.
Also note that public transport is cheap (basic) but very efficient so don't go and stay on Wencelas sq.
Enjoy it, Prague is class. Even after living there for a year it's magic only slightly faded. After all, excellent, strong lager for under a £1, beautiful largely unspoilt buildings and fit lasses, all of which are in abundance, what more could you ask for?!!!

The Travellers Inn and Apple Hostel are two descent hostels to stay in, both clean and cheap, close to the center.

Try Hotel Golden City - Garni (in www.venere.com), good value for money. The tram is in front of the hotel, very convenient to go to the centre, just 12 minutes.

And if you go to Prague, remember to try one music concert and Black Light Theather, last time I tried "Aspects of Alice" in that theather, so nice a memory.
