or set up an account in a pub,,,, which can be dangerous...

I like's the way your mind works, mrs Raven.

I think a pub account would be an excellent idea. Specially if you forget to close it

Okay, let's not do that :)

Unfortunately this wedding is a 'must go to' plus the airline tickets there are already booked so that would be a slight waste. Oh well, I am sure there will be more meets around Europe so plenty of reason to hit another pub at some stage!

Cheers,

Sam

ahhh but the pub account would have been so good .....

125. Posted by Gelli (Travel Guru 2457 posts) 12y

Your right. It would have been a great idea. In fact too good to go to waste. On your way home, why don't you drop into a pub in Dublin and open one for us to use.....

126. Posted by Rraven (Travel Guru 5924 posts) 12y

yeah right ! if i had the money i would but i'm moving in a few weeks so thats out of the question.......

127. Posted by Gelli (Travel Guru 2457 posts) 12y

Well you don't need money NOW. You set it up and promise to pay later. Then run like heck and hope your not caught when they hand you a bill for 20000(don't have euro symbol on this keyboard) or so...

Where ya moving? anywhere exciting?

No, not really, my boyf' and I were house sharing and now we've decided to rent an apt for ourselves, as we both work for the same company we're going to stay in the same town, so I'll still be able to look out the back and dream about the airplanes above my head ,( I live near the airport)...

€20,000 is that all, ??? i'm sure we can do better then that, add in a few coctails etc....

129. Posted by Gelli (Travel Guru 2457 posts) 12y

20000 between 4 or 5 in an evening isn't too bad really, but sure can manage the odd cocktail to raise it if needbe....

the obvious ones - vintage wine or top range champers (in particular)don't do it for me, so i'd be the cheapy.

Anyhow. I'm Hijacking a thread yet again. Must stop

130. Posted by Rraven (Travel Guru 5924 posts) 12y

I keep forgetting that only a few people are going..... to be honest i'd be on the cheap stuff too, beer (budvar, stella) or spirits is the norm, coctails to make a quiet night mad....... i should apologise for hijacking the thread too but I'm still stuck in work waiting for info so I need a distraction... ...
