I want to become mod and ban this asshole asap, but I dont want to be screwed over if he DDOS's me

Please advise me :)

Ok perhaps lm really dumb here but could you explain a DDOS attack (in simple language not technical jargon) and does it hurt?

Purdy runs away to a bunker worried that as a Mod she may be attacked!

HAHAHHAHHAHHA

Ok well, DDOS is a hack attack on a persons server, it can ruin an entire business, obviously companies like Google and MSN etc etc have an unlimited $$ resource so their servers are invincible, but normal people like me have just regular servers that can be taken down offline because of these attacks

So, yes they DO hurt very badly, not actual pain, but in other ways hehe :)

Bummer.

There's some suggestions at the bottom of the wikipedia page on the matter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack

I would suggest bugging your host for some sort of solution.
