masala chai on every corner, great indian food,

What is the food like, in Delhi Wouter?
It was fantastic, in Mumbai, but I have heard, it is different, in every region. I heard, that India is as diverse as Europe.

its very good!! never try vindaloo, though....that's too damn spicey. i still feel it when i think about it. in the morning i ate puri baji which is very good and u don't need to eat until dinner. puri baji is a sort of mix of potatoes (and it seems a lot of fat) and spices and sauce. u eat it with oily chapatis. very good but very fat. also lassi is great, its a kind of curd drink with good taste (also with salt and other spices). and ofcourse the chai!!! on every streetcorner. never had better tea then in india;).

Thanks Wouter
That sounds exactly like the food that was in Mumbai.
It was delicious.

Quoting Sam I Am

I'm leaving the other ones. I think each of the sides gets the equal end of the stick (plus I'd have to then delete all responses after it too) and in fairness he doesn't actually call either of you racists (semantics perhaps, but I still think the fine line is there). There is also some legitimacy in asking that members that have been on the site longer realizing that their posts are inflammatory. I know it's just messing around for the two of you, but people don't read things the same way they sound in your head and believe me, I know this first hand!

Ok, fair enough. Thanks.
But he actually said this in his post:

You are racist because you dared to abuse India by describing
it in a funny way.You are a racist because you have no respect for other races.

I mean, I know we are not, and in fact travelers are almost never a racist...why would they travel to India or other countries.
I think Mr. Ron knows this as well....maybe it's Oslaue again, who has learned to start sentences with a capital!

Does anybody know, it that caste system is still going?
Or is it a thing of the past?

Mel

hi mel. i have to watch out what i say (for the oversensitive souls out here). but the caste system in India is still present. not as much as in the past but its still there. especially in rural areas its common. also the dalits (or untouchables) are still excisting. they still have less rights and do the filthy work (mostly clean toilets and pick up garbage). in very strict societies a dalit shadow may not even come over the food of a brahman (highest caste). if that happens the food is not "clean" anymore and should be throwed away.

In that way, we have a caste system as well in the Nether...Neverlands

Wow, so the english among others are to blame for the negative aspects.....I did know that....but now that I do, things have been cleared up really

Shang... may have a point, utrecht. I dont think we can discount the damage colonialisation(excuse spelling) has done to countries. The aftermath of it continues for centuries.

Agree, it's just the way someone needs to express themselves in a post, which sounds so weird sometimes. Like everything is always 100% the only reason for something. That is racism!

U and W of Neverlands need each other to pat yourself on your poor self esteem.

Ron
I am not from the Netherlands and I think u are going way over the top.

Oh, never mind, at least we have self esteem...in our own pathetic ways I know. We hate our lives ourselves, don't we Wouterrr

Earlier Woe had taken on Mel and what followed
was deleted.

Ron, I dont know what u are talking about.
Wouter and I have always got along, with each other.
There was something deleted, in a thread, but that was not because Wouter said anything bad, to me.

Actually, the fact that he knows this as a new poster....he probably joined that thread....

Would u know a site on the internet, that gives information, about the caste system?

Although my name is not Wouter, I have found this for an example.

Tell Utrecht, by PM, about your toilet activities.
